Want to become automotive sales advisor? Consider these before applying. 1. Stock availability (no stock equals to no income) 2. Management's reliability (more often than not, they decide your car allocation--hence point number 1) 3. Brand (potential customers most of the time are bias toward certain brands) 4. Payment (find out how long it takes for commission payout--some take months so be prepared financially) 5. Commission structure (best to find out early on so that you can forecast your income) 6. Location (some cars--EVs for example--may not have a strong presence in less-developed areas so it is harder to generate sales) 7. Working hours (some require full time commitment, some don't. Find what suits you best) What do you think? Anymore factors you would consider? #automotive #sales #salesadvisor #cars #career #jobs

When Saying "Yes" Changes Everything Hearing is believing listen below ⬇️ Here’s what just happened: We called the local Audi dealership in Houston to price match for a customer. Not only did they refuse to match the price, but they outright refused to work on the car. As the representative was hanging up, they even recommended Adams Automotive instead. Naturally, we got the job. This is exactly why Auto Hospitality works—and why the customer service bar in our industry is so low. The kicker? The dealership’s only offer was an oil change (but only for vehicles 2014 and newer). Beyond that, they turned the customer away and pointed them straight to us. Our secret? Saying YES. We’ve built a $50 million platform company by making it easy for customers to choose us. Across Houston and Boston, we’ve proven time and again that prioritizing the customer is the ultimate competitive advantage. The lesson is simple: Say yes, deliver world-class service, and let your competitors’ "no" become your biggest opportunity. “From COVID Commanders to Car Lot Chaos: When the Easiest Job Gets Real” Remember the golden era of being a Sales Manager at a car dealership during COVID? It was the easiest layup in history. Cars were flying off the lot at MSRP or higher, inventory was scarce, and customers were lining up to buy whatever was available—no pitching, no haggling, no hard closes. It was the ultimate order-taker gig. Your biggest challenge? Deciding which customer got the one SUV you had left. Fast forward to today: the market’s normal again, and some of those COVID-era Sales Managers are struggling like it’s their first day on the job. Customers are negotiating, inventory is back, and the team actually needs coaching. No more blaming “supply chain issues” for sky-high prices—now you’ve got to sell. If you’re still running your store like it’s 2021, it’s time to adjust. COVID was the layup. Now it’s game time. How’s your dealership holding up? Or is your Sales Manager still wishing for the good ol’ “one car, ten buyers” days?

You can be successful in sales with 0️⃣ experience. You just have to be “HUNGRY”. My first sales role I was an 18 year old car salesman with no idea what it meant to sale or be in a sales role. In my first week I noticed my colleagues would “practically” race each other to meet the customers on the lot. I kept this in mind during training. In training, I locked in to learn as much as possible. The biggest lesson I learned was that 75% of all people who come on the car lot are looking to buy the same day. With this is mind, I created a routine that could give me an advantage over my veteran colleagues who had pipeline built from 🔟+ years in car sales; My routine was simple — call and send out emails to all leads first thing in the morning. After that, I would stay on the car lot the rest of the day! This was something my veteran co-workers weren’t willing to do. This gave me the advantage I needed, because I was already on the lot, greeting customers upon arrival. Using this routine I became salesman of the month, my first month as a car salesman. 2️⃣ main lessons if your new to sales. Or want to start a career in sales. ⬇️ 1. Always go the extra mile. 2. Hunger can beat experience, when experience doesn’t work hard. Do you think hunger beats experience? #SalesSuccess #SalesMotivation #NewToSales #SalesTips #SalesStrategy #SalesCareer #coldcalling #SalesJourney #CarSales #SalesAdvice #SalesTraining #SalesExperience #Alleyoop

Clients like these have made my long and illustrious career in automotive sales truly rewarding. Over the years, so many loyal customers have also become friends, relying on me for all of their vehicle purchases—and sometimes their vehicle sales—from the mid-90’s to today. This particular client in the review below hugged me as she left, and whispered in my ear, "YOU are the reason we keep coming back here. Thank you so much!" Another long-term client once said, "If you ever stopped selling cars, I guess we would just have to keep the vehicles we currently have indefinitely!" Building these strong relationships over hundreds of transactions, both big and small, has been incredibly heartwarming. I am so proud of the massive client base I've built here from scratch all on my own. When I started, I wasn't well-suited for a sales role at all, timidly peeking out from behind my long bangs and nervously greeting customers with a limp handshake and a tight squeak of a voice. Can you imagine??? Oiy! This occupation has forced me way out of my comfort zone which did me a world of good both personally and professionally. In the spring of 1994 I did not anticipate this “summer gig” between the spring and fall sessions of University would lead me down an entirely different path. (I don’t think any of my clients need to worry though, when I eventually do retire from sales, I assume the Birchwood Group wouldn’t mind me wandering back in occasionally with a car deal for them!) haha! #automotive #career #relationships #work #womenatwork
