Title: Buy Rioja Wines Online | Great Wines Direct Link: https://lnkd.in/e5ddTwWu Rioja Wines Rioja, which has denominación de origen calificada (D.O.Ca., "Qualified Designation of Origin," the top classification in Spanish wine legislation), is a wine area in Spain. Grapes from the autonomous entities of La Rioja, Navarre, and the Basque province of lava are used to make Rioja wine. The three zones of Rioja are Rioja Alta, Rioja Oriental, and Rioja Alavesa. Traditionally, many wines have included grapes from all three zones, while single-zone wines are slowly becoming more popular. Since its founding in 1925, the D.O.Ca. Rioja Regulating Council has authorised seven traditional varietals, four red and three white: Tempranillo, Garnacha tinta, Mazuelo (sometimes called Cariena), and Graciano are the red varietals. #rojawines #wines #greatwines #qualitywines #winestore #drinks #foodanddrinks #food

Consumers are taking a leap into the unexpected and branching out in their wine buying, with Eastern Europe in particular getting the recognition it deserves for wine quality, craftmanship and winemaking credentials. This year, we expect Eastern European wines to become much more prevalent in the UK, and demand for Bolgrad from Ukraine, Bediani from Georgia, and Salcuta, a Moldovan Feteasca Negra to sustain their play to consumer interest in lesser-known varietals. The wines from these producers were recognised by retailers for their authentic, distinctive, credible, well-made properties in 2024, and really demonstrate the breadth of wines available from Eastern Europe. #Ukraine #Georgia #Moldova #wine #winemaking #intheglass

Holy Wines – leader in wines off the beaten path - Read more: https://lnkd.in/dJmaU5TC Holy Wines literally started out of nowhere. Although its founder, Adrian, had long been into wine, the venture was never in the pipeline. He had never thought of having a business in such a saturated market and in a time when wine consumption globally is decreasing. Obsession, however, can lead to some crazy things, with Holy Wines starting out as a labour of love. What started as a crazy idea became a highly fulfilling experience, as Adrian only chose to import the wines that he loves, and that were not available in Malta before Holy Wines was established. Founded in 2019, Holy Wines is now already a leader in wines which are off the beaten path, wines that, in the industry, are sometimes referred to as niche. Wines that usually come from cooler climates or high altitudes if in warmer ones. Wines that offer elegance over power or high alcohol. Wines coming from small family-run wineries that are produced in very small numbers, and also some big names in the current super premium and natural wine scenes. On top of this over 65% of Holy Wines imports already carry organic certification. #WhosWho #Malta

🍂 What bargain wines pair well with fall dishes❓ https://lnkd.in/dtPgtx3U 💰 You don’t have to pay a lot to get great value in your glass these days. Click link in bio for the video to find out which wines over-deliver on their price point. 🍂 As the season changes your wine list should change too. We could all use some tips on picking a good bottle of wine, with great value. 🍁 If we think of Canadian wine, we think of Niagara first, Okanagan second, and that’s kind of where most people’s perception stops. 🕰️ We sometimes also think of the hangover from the 1970s or 1980s when we had grim wines. 🍷 But so much has changed, the quality, the knowledge of the soils and the grapes, the wine making techniques. 💸 I mean it’s just spectacular what’s happening now, and the price quality ratio is there as well. 🌍 They compete head to head with wines from other regions around the world. 🤑 What is priced best, taste the most delicious, maybe from somewhere we don’t know, or do know? 🍇 We might be familiar with the wines of Chile and Argentina. 💎 But we might not be as familiar with the grapes that they produce that have that terrific price quality ratio. 🥂 If you like Cabernet, you might like Malbec. 🔍 If you like Merlot you might like Bonarda, and it’s a good way to kind of discover new regions, but also more importantly new styles and grapes of wine. 🍁 Do you have a favourite fall wine❓ Let me know in the comments 👇 Cheers🥂, Natalie 🍷 PS Get my free "Ultimate Guide to Wine & Food Pairing" at: https://lnkd.in/ghiPfx_F ✉️ Or just DM me and ask for the guide! Fine Wines - Fine wine continued to be seen as a safe haven investment, prompting the desire among high and ultra high net worth individuals Bordeaux is increasingly seen as “out of favour” with just under a third (27%) of respondents seeing it as the region with the greatest “downside risk” followed by Burgundy (19%), California and Australia (both on 15%) Some of the fine wine professionals predicted a greater interest in the Italian fine wines – in part due to the “overheated Burgundy market”, as many perceived “high-end Barolo and Barbaresco as a ‘the new Burgundy’ when it comes to the top echelon of fine wines. Indeed, Piedmont was identified as the region with the most potential over the coming coming year, with 20% of respondents noting its rise, followed by Champagne (17%), Burgundy (14%), Tuscany (12%) and California (9%). #wine #wines #finewine #finewines #winebusiness #wineindustry #winemarket #bordeaux #burgundy #vins #Champagne #California #tuscany #toscana #piemonte #piedmont

An interesting article featuring biodynamic winemakers Gérard Bertrand Wines on one of the fastest growing categories in wine right now. Consumers are eager to try the one of the newest trends - do you have an orange wine on your menu? "At the same time, 84 percent of U.S. wine drinkers who have never tried orange wine said they are open to trying it, which Bertrand says represents a significant opportunity for growth." "The number one priority for us is really to pair all the orange wines that we make with a cheese plate. That’s because when you have a cheese plate at home or at the restaurant, you get lost. With goat cheese, it’s better to have a white; with camembert, a red; with blue cheese, a fortified wine,” Bertrand says. “The only wine that covers the spectrum of cheeses is really an orange wine. And depending on the level of maturation and the level of concentration, as well as the blend [of grapes], you can play with a lot of cuisines, from couscous to tuna tartare to Wagyu beef burgers.” Bibendum Ireland #organicwine #biodynamic

🌟 Winds of Change for Chilean Premium Wines 🍷 The latest Market Watch Magazine Vol. 43 No. 11 highlights the growing appreciation for Chilean premium wines among American consumers. At a time when other wine origins are struggling, Chilean wines are gaining the recognition they deserve, led by the acclaimed Viña Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon Puente Alto Vineyard 2021, named Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year for 2024! 🏆 This shift is reflected in the 28% year-to-date increase in bottled Chilean table wine shipments to the U.S., with wines priced between $15 and $20 experiencing a 5% rise in dollar terms for the year-to-date period ending November 3 in IRI/Circana channels. These achievements showcase Chile’s strength in premium wine segments and the growing enthusiasm of U.S. consumers. I believe that Italian wine producers and wine education materials should use/explain the expression "Vini Pregiati" more often. In the English-speaking world, there is a strong emphasis on "Fine Wines," while the French, especially in Bordeaux, leverage the expression "Grands Vins" to their advantage. It seems that "Vini Pregiati" was more commonly used in the past but has since been abandoned or used much less. I wonder why. This is an important term that conveys the same meaning as "Fine Wines" and "Grands Vins," expressing quality and a high-level position in the hierarchy. It should make a comeback. #italy #wine #vinipregiati #finewines #grandsvins #wineeducation

The Crossroads of Wine: Beyond Quality 🍷🌍 All wineries believe they have special terroirs, unique and wonderful winemaking systems, and meticulous processes that produce unique and extraordinary wines. This is true. But the problem is that there are thousands upon thousands of wineries around the world, all doing things very well, producing enormous quantities of wine that the world then has to consume. And there's the real challenge: an oversaturation of product for a demand that simply can't absorb it all. Additionally, new generations are changing their drinking habits, with trends leaning towards healthier lifestyles and seeking other types of products. Recent international wine fairs clearly show us this: hundreds of countries, thousands of wineries, all with excellent wines. And here comes the uncomfortable question: "I know my wine is good, but is it really different from my competitors'?" Many winemakers will say "yes", but is it truly? It’s not about abandoning our commitment to quality. That is and will always be fundamental. But in this context, having an excellent product is no longer enough. We need to offer more: Is part of our sales revenue committed to improving our environment? Are we allocating some of it to help the underprivileged? We are at a critical crossroads. Can we navigate it? Are we willing to accept that, in addition to producing high-quality wines, we need to generate a positive impact on society? I invite everyone to reflect and share their opinions on this crucial issue for the future of our wineries and the wine industry as a whole. #Wine #Innovation #SocialResponsibility #Wineries #WineIndustry #ResponsibleConsumption
