Never one to idle - the 2025 Perth Coastal Bike Ride planning has commenced! After all it is now less than 1 year and the following indices will shape the 2025 event: 1. Confirmed 10km Family Ride category. 2. Extended distance to 120 km has been planned and explored. 3. Proactive and supportive charities who worked together with the Perth Integrated Events Team will be invited back for 2025. 4. The formation of a duality event where people can ride for themselves or ride for a cause has proven effective and for many also provision to participate without the extensive costs associated with fund raising. 5. Raising the bar in 2025 ensuring that this event shows evidence of support for people with disabilities and or local research here in Western Australia. 6. Growing the event from its always intended Small category to Medium category sized event in 2025 which is part of our gradual growth in line with population expansion and road density needs. Reserve the date: 23rd Nov 2025 and make a difference to how charitable events should be run.

🎉 Hello LinkedIn: I'm on a mission, can you help? 🌟 Me (and trundl) need to spread the word to 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ new trundlrs. We're a growing business and we can't afford the huge budgets that ad campaigns require, so our community is our voice. 😏 I feel like I'm always asking you for help, but I hope that I try to pay it forward as much as I can in helping others so here's the cunning plan... (Baldrick): 🚶🏿♂️🚶🏽♀️🚶🏿♀️ Most of you know: With the trundl app, a simple walk becomes the opportunity to raise money for 8 UK charities without you having to do the fundraising yourself. All you have to do is re-purpose your existing walks by pressing GO on the trundl app. So to reach 2000 new people we decided to use the Crowdfunder UK platform. Why? It's an excellent way for us to spread the word with low fees. Our community is already made up of people from the following walks of life: 🟢 dog walkers 🟢 daily strollers 🟢 serious hikers 🟢 those in re-hab 🟢 coping with an injury 🟢 long term illness/unable to return to work Plus from the business world: 🟢 HR Managers looking to keep teams healthier and feeling purposeful 🟢 ESG Managers looking at Active Travel and Scope 3 🟢 Business owners of all shapes and sizes (the company, not the owner). Why do the groups above already love trundling/walking? Because we're totally non-competitive. We appeal to kind hearted people/businesses who want to do social good as well as help the planet. It's simple. You tap the app, you go out for your walk and your distance is converted into donations via our unique "trundl-ometer" and supported by our lovely brand partners. So.. hang on in there you know I go on a bit... ❓ Could trundl make a nice gift for someone in the list above that you know or for your team? A £5 gift certificate gives someone a new motivation for a month to be outside and helps us to spread the word to 2000 new people and do more for our UK charities. If they like trundl they can stay and become a member at £3.99 (inc. vat) per month, if they don't they have at least got some fresh air and done themselves and UK charities some social good. To find out more and to get involved/tag your friends/business connections in this post and/or click on the link here: https://lnkd.in/eHTqTCdU ❤💛💚💜 Thank you, I appreciate your help in this busy world we live in. 🦔 #crowdfunder #crowdfunding #crowdfundingcampaign #crowdfundinguk #crowdfundingproject #givingback #trundl_go #healthandwellness #csr #esg

🚀 Exciting Opportunity for a Chicago-Based Charity or Community Space! 📺 In preparation for #SHRM in Chicago, our incredible team has been hard at work setting up our stand. We needed a TV to showcase SEEDL, but rental quotes ranged from $830 to $2,800 for just 4 days! Can you believe it? That’s almost $3K for a 43-inch TV and stand that costs $800 in the shops. 💡 Then one of our team members had a brilliant idea: Why not buy the TV and donate it to a local charity or community space afterward? 😍 So, that's exactly what we're doing. We'll purchase the TV, use it for the event, and then donate it to a deserving local venue. It’s a win-win for everyone (except maybe the rental companies!). 🌎 If you know of a Chicago-based charity or community space that could benefit from a brand-new 43-inch TV (ok 4 days use!), please let us know in the comments, tagging others, or send a direct message. Let’s make a positive impact together! 💪 PS - come and meet Joanna, Kate and myself on the SEEDL Group stand 3527 Sunday > Wednesday (23>26th June) at SHRM 2024! #CommunitySupport #Charity #Chicago #SHRM2024 #GiveBack #CorporateResponsibility #SEEDL #SHRM

Is your charity a canoe or a ocean liner? I've worked in some big charities and now I manage a small one. And I'm here to say that there is a world of difference between the two. When I was in a larger charity things like brand recognition, having well resourced dedicated fundraising and coms teams meant that there was a level of ease around how funding flowed, we could meet all sorts of funders needs because we had capacity to do so. It felt like we were magnets 🧲 But now in a small charity I notice that despite our struggle to attract resources there are things we can do that bigger charities just can't. Like react quickly and decisively when the people we support ask us to, it's the difference between changes of direction in a canoe and an ocean liner. We're nippy, we are creative and we get things done. And the thing is our sector needs both. If you are in a medium or large charity and you want to show support for us little guys have a read of Wayne Murray blog and then get involved in #SmallCharityWeek if you can. Because all you need to do is love small charities. ● L – Listen and Learn: I will learn what small charities do in my neighbourhood ● O – Organise: I will get my community involved with small charities ● V – Volunteer: I will support small charities with my time, voice and money ● E – Engage: I will do a bit more to make my community better. #LoveYourSmallCharity #SmallCharityWeek2024 blog in link.

I have pledged to donate a percentage of my income to highly effective charities. 🌍 💡 Until four years ago, when I thought of donating to charity, I imagined collection boxes, street sellers, uncertainty about the impact of my money, and elderly people. However, my work at Doneer Effectief taught me that there is so much more to charitable giving. If we carefully consider where we donate and choose effective charities, giving can be evidence-driven, highly impactful—up to 100 times more than the average charity—intentional, and incredibly rewarding. I now see donating as one of my ways of contributing to a world with less suffering and more happiness. Because of this, I have decided to take the trial pledge via Giving What We Can: from now on, I will donate a set percentage of my income to highly effective charities. Many religions have long practiced such ‘pledges’ to charity as a way to give back. Through my pledge, I know that I am making a meaningful positive impact on the people and animals that benefit from my donations every month. 🐾👫 Have you ever considered donating to effective charities? Because, especially for such charities, even small donations can make a large difference. Check this video https://lnkd.in/eQFjAHnt or GivingWhatWeCan https://lnkd.in/euzzjY6s to learn more

Through Craigs Investment Partners workplace giving programme, the Christchurch Foundation is proud to support Tamai Sports to help remove barriers to sports participation for tamariki in Christchurch East. Craigs Workplace Giving allows employees to donate a portion of their monthly paycheque to support charities in their local community. Craigs matches these donations, up to $500 per employee per year. Now in its sixth year, Craigs Workplace Giving has collectively donated $944,000 to charities nationwide. This funding will provide transport, uniforms, equipment and access to positive coaching mentors. Sport has the power to transform young lives, and we're grateful to partner with Craigs Investment Partners to make it more accessible. #MondayMotivation #Sport #CommunityImpact #CommunityFoundations #Giving #ChristmasGenerosity

"I thought people volunteered for charities?!" 🙋♂️🙋♀️ A question I was asked recently when they discovered that I #recruit for the charity sector. The assumption that #charities should run entirely on volunteer power is something I have unfortunately heard multiple times. Maybe you have too? Yet that assumption is far from reality. When I have challenged critics if they would #volunteer themselves, the response is usually a quick "I'm too busy" or "I don't have time for that." That's exactly the point. Running a #charity is HARD WORK! 💪 #Working for a charity requires dedication, expertise, and consistent commitment that goes beyond what most volunteers can offer: - Securing funding - Ensuring compliance - Managing multiple projects - Coordinating volunteer teams - Delivering services - Planning long-term strategies To state just a few things. Many don't realise the scale and complexity of running a charity. The truth is, charities need both paid staff and volunteers to function effectively. Both paid staff and volunteers play essential roles in making these charities effective and sustainable 🌍 If you've never experienced working in a charity before, then may I encourage you to #Volunteer See the dedication required to keep these vital services running. And if you're considering a #career in the charity sector, reach out. I'm always happy to #help those who are looking to make an impact in the charity sector 🤝 #charityjobs #makeadifference #createmeaningfulchange

Today is International Day of Charity. I’m proud to work in the charity sector but it definitely comes with its challenges. For instance how to make your charity relevant on social media in an ever growing digital age. Maybe you can help me… Do you follow any charities on social media? What sort of posts do you like seeing from these charities? How likely are you to give your time or money to these charities? Please comment your thoughts or drop me a private message 💬 Also did you know a lot of businesses offer charity volunteer days to their employees?! How cool is that? #NationalCharityDay #Charity #CharityDigital #Volunteer
