🌟 Supporting Wellbeing During the Festive Season and Beyond 🌟 As we approach the end of the year, it’s important to acknowledge the unique challenges this season brings. The pressure of wrapping up end-of-year tasks, coupled with post-holiday blues, can make the transition into 2025 overwhelming for many. It's important to create an environment where those around us feel supported and valued while helping them navigate these challenges by showing them care and resilience that lasts all year long. Here are a few key strategies to consider: 1️⃣ Help employees manage their energy: Encourage regular breaks, set boundaries between work and personal life, and promote flexible working. Sustainability starts with how we manage our resources every day. 2️⃣ Foster psychological safety: Create a space where employees feel comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas, and asking for help without fear of judgment. Trust and openness go a long way in building a strong, supportive workplace. 3️⃣ Set realistic expectations: Let’s be mindful of the pressures that come with the season. Clear priorities and achievable goals help reduce stress and keep motivation high. 4️⃣ Provide access to support: Whether it’s counseling services, peer support, or simply being there to listen, offering accessible resources shows that we care about our employees’ holistic wellbeing. Remember, wellbeing isn’t a one-time initiative—it’s a commitment to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, even during the most challenging times. Let’s end this year strong, together. The festive season often comes with the pressure of delivering the “𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴.” For many parents, this external expectation can feel overwhelming, as they juggle work, family, and holiday preparations. But here’s the truth: Being present is the best present you can give. Growing research demonstrates the importance of parent employee’s health and wellbeing in relation to work performance and effectiveness. Great Place To Work US's Study of Working Parents found that organisations that support working parents benefit from the following: ☑️ 5.5 times revenue due to enhanced innovation. ☑️ 89% of employees would stay with the company for a long time. ☑️ 92% are willing to go the extra mile to get the word done. As an organisation, fostering a culture of understanding and balance during this season can make a significant impact on employee wellbeing. A small reminder or initiative can help your employees feel supported during this busy period. Does your organisation have measures in place to support employee-parents during the holidays? If you'd like to explore workplace wellbeing programmes for parents, let’s chat! #workplacewellbeing #parentsupport #parenting #wellbeing

🛑 Are you making the same mistake as Joey? It's 2025 (just in case you didn't know!) and for many Workplace Wellbeing Professionals returning to work, now will be the time that you are finalising your wellbeing plans for the year. But before you do just that, 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁... Have a think ... Have a real think... ❓ 𝗪𝗛𝗬 are you planning to do these specific wellbeing events/projects that you've decided on over the next year? If your response is: 💬 We ran a 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 to understand what our staff need at the end of last year and our events/projects come from that 💬 👏 Then congrats! Great work! But if your response is: 💬 We looked at what 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 there were and fitted events around it 💬 😬 Then unfortunately I have some bad news ... these events are very unlikely to have any positive impact upon your staff at all, and actually may 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲! But all is not lost, you still have time to sort things out! By having a strategy and basing on staff need, not only will you 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 and resource, but you'll also see that 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁! But if you've never written a wellbeing strategy or don't know where to start, I'm holding a free event on 8th Jan 2pm - 3pm to show you how! "What does a Workplace Wellbeing Partner do?!" I've had DMs asking me this. New colleagues. My mum (she still doesn't quite get it). Even the lady at the coffee shop (I'll talk to anyone about wellbeing). But in short at Oliva my job has two parts: 🚀 Helping customers to onboard and launch Oliva in the best way possible, getting to know their team, what will work best for them and being their point of contact going forwards. 📈 Working with customers to understand how Oliva is being used, what trends can we see in your teams wellbeing and what else can we be doing to support them? This could also be being reactive to something that has happened internally that the company need some additional support with. It could be organising specific workshops we know the team want help with and therefore will have high impact. It could be delving deep into the data to provide nuggets of information that really help certain teams or groups in the company. Or simply it might be becoming their trusted point of call for any wellbeing related questions they may have. So that's what I do @Mum, hope it's a bit clearer for you
