The new advances in AI have enabled me to start work on a dream project of mine that leverages this awesome technology to improve data specific processes. Is anyone else aggressively tracking the progress of all these AI tools? Half for my job, and half for passion, I am 👋. My personal favorite is text-to-video generation. Chinese company KLING just took it to another level. AI tools are empowering individual creators like never before by breaking down barriers to entry. I've been scheming on my own movie (think blue Avatar people but instead massive bat humanoid creatures in a Romeo and Juliet love story) for a couple of years now and it seems every month I get better tools to do so. https://lnkd.in/geamXw_Z

Week 1 & 2 Reflection on ALX AiCE Program💪💪 I’ve just completed the first two weeks of the ALX AiCE program, and it’s been an incredible journey so far. Week 1 Highlights was the introduction to AI where I explored the fascinating world of AI, its history, and vast applications. Also the AI Ethics where I delved into the ethical considerations crucial for responsible AI development. The basic AI Concepts was not left out, here i gained a solid understanding of machine learning, neural networks, and data science. Also, I engaged with quizzes that tested my knowledge and solidified my learning. while week 2 highlighted the AI Tools and Platforms where i gained hands-on experience with some of the most popular AI tools, Initiated a small project to apply my new skills in a real-world scenario. I took a deeper dive into natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision. AI is cool, but AGI (Artificial GENERAL Intelligence) is the real goal. AI has been around for a long time, but it wasn't until ChatGPT that it sprung back into the limelight. AI has always been "Narrow", meaning it's great at one thing, such as playing chess. ChatGPT is great at TONS of things, but it might still be considered narrow, or at the very least, a broader version of narrow. What AI can't do is all the complex things humans can do, such as solving problems we've never seen before. Humans don't need to watch millions of videos of people driving in order to understand how it works. We only need a few examples in order to get it. This is what AGI will be able to do (reasoning, problem-solving, perception, learning, etc). Anyway, all of this to say... watch this short animated video about AI and our trek to AGI. It's written so that even a 3rd grader can understand it. If you're not tech literate, this is for you. "in a nutshell – kurzgesagt" produces incredible animated videos about science and technology while maintaining their signature optimistic nihilism. I can't get enough.
