Despite a decade and a half of unprecedented access to low-cost capital and a surge of investment in technology startups, we still find ourselves confronting the sobering reality that many of the world's most pressing challenges remain unresolved. Despite the promise of technological innovation and flow of capital in adjacent fields, significant barriers persist in addressing these complex issues. Today I have listed some of the world's hardest problems that need our immediate attention and funding. As an investor, these are few areas I want to invest in - today at my current fund, and tomorrow, hopefully, at my own shop. Please see- https://lnkd.in/dGQQTfKF
That's indeed an impressive list.. Mr.Siddharth S. .. I'm sure there are numerous others too.. And you pointed out very aptly.. We had everything going for us.. easy money.. resources.. freedom to work our ways.. but just see the irony.. where are we after these 15 years.. with life.. with climate.. with people.. with everything becoming more difficult 😔 .. Hope we get some really good people in business.. because a business that just makes money is no good business 🙏 ....🧿🌸....
The most important problem according to me is to decrease human consumption.if we are able to solve it , it will solve 90n% of the problems on your list. Also the most challenging and existential level challenge we are facing in terms of environmental change which is missing from your list.
I think, Siddharth S. real solutions can only be built with first principle thinking and long term R&D. On both fronts, I feel, Indian cos have just started out with that mindset and increase in avaliability of capital and talent.
It's crucial to prioritize investments that tackle these pressing global challenges. Your dedication is commendable Siddharth S.
