Sime Darby Motor Group is proud to be a major partner of this event, with our commercial brands Mack Trucks New Zealand, Volvo Trucks New Zealand, Truckstops, Hino NZ, TWL, Transpecs and UD Trucks New Zealand, all sponsoring this grand event. Grimsby - what is the first thing that springs to mind. Is it fishing, 'The Mariners' FC or the 1974 Elton John song 'Grimsby'? Not only does the Port of Grimsby see in excess of 400,000 vehicle imports per year from the world's biggest European car manufacturers, Grimsby also now has direct automotive links to The Far East. The Grimsby River Terminal regularly accepts some of the world's biggest RoRo carriers, bringing passenger cars from as far away as South Korea. This video shows one recent 200m LOA vessel call bringing a consignment of new cars for the UK market. Grimsby may not be force it once was in the fishing industry, but the town is leading the way on a global stage in supporting the UK automotive industry. #grimsby #abphumber #associatedbritishports #automotive #imports

We don’t fit in with the norm; we’re proud to be different, and hope it shows. Our origins are in the great outdoors, where we've developed products to handle the toughest environments. Please enjoy our latest video. I believe it perfectly captures our passion and dedication and to quality. Volume up! 🎥 Starting five years ago in the recreational sector, we've built a reputation for reliability, strength, and quality. Thanks to our dedicated team, we've developed modular systems, in-house manufacturing, and a scalable business model. Coupled with our market-leading turnaround times and world-class customer service, this has enabled us to expand into the fleet market. Some viewed our approach as unconventional, but those voices have grown silent. 🤫 We've proven that innovation pays off. We're 'kicking for the seagulls,' a phrase I've always admired, brought to life by the legendary Sir Graham Lowe and his pioneering coaching style in rugby league. In just the past 18 months, we've earned the trust of leading organisations, including TDX Ltd, NZ Police, Makita New Zealand, Greater Wellington Regional Council, Norwood & HEB Construction. We've also gained the confidence of leading OEMs and Vehicle Leasing companies. To our supporters, thank you for being a part of our journey! This adventure has just begun. We’re committed to listening, learning, and evolving every single day. 🚀 #RaiseTheBar #BusinessGrowth #CustomerTrust #ContinuousImprovement M2 Overland | Buy New Zealand Made | ISO - International Organization for Standardization

📣 Stick to the oars: Why being the best supplier is enough! 📢 It’s all the rage these days: companies proudly declaring, “We want to be more than just XYZ.” 🤟 Suppliers of industrial equipment, for example, no longer want to simply deliver products. They aspire to be strategic partners, manufacturing management advisors, digital innovators, or even global thought leaders. Lofty ambitions, sure, but here’s the question: when you’re busy trying to be more than a supplier, are you still the best supplier you can be? 🛶 Think of a rowing boat. Imagine all the rowers deciding they don’t just want to row, they want to be the captain. Everyone starts issuing orders, debating strategies, and wearing fancy hats. But the boat? It’s just sitting there, going nowhere. In industry, this might look like over-complicated solutions, products that don’t quite deliver, unreliable deliveries, fancy-yet-useless services, or customers left wondering why no one seems focused on their actual needs. 🎵 Let’s be clear: aiming high isn’t the problem. Innovation and value-added services are great, but only when they add to your core offering, not overshadow it. The best suppliers focus on delivering top-notch products, unparalleled support, and the kind of reliability that makes customers sleep better at night. They know their value lies in rowing the boat, powerfully, consistently, and in the right direction. ⚒ As the Dutch saying goes, "Schoenmaker, blijf bij je leest" (Cobbler, stick to your last), the real magic happens when you focus on what you do best. So, instead of trying to be “more than,” what if you focused on being ‘’exceptionally good at’’ what you already do? In the industrial world, where downtimes cost a fortune and trust is everything, being a reliable expert is far more valuable than chasing titles. 💯 Because at the end of the day, great oarsmen don’t need to be the captain, they’re the reason the boat moves forward.
