Our ‘Emergency First Aid At Work Level 3 (Including Certification)’ online course is taking place on the 12th of November 2024. Book now to avoid disappointment !! ITC Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work Employers have to risk assess their workplace first aid requirements and the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification is one of the statutory qualifications for this purpose. If the risk assessment indicates that employees may be faced with life-threatening incidents where they have to manage the casualty for up to 10 minutes, or deal with very minor incidents that will not require medical assistance, then the EFAW is the course that meets this need. Delivery - Topics include: Roles & responsibilities Assessing incidents Dealing with collapse (with and without breathing) Choking Bleeding Shock Seizures Minor workplace incidents Using first aid kit This qualification is designed to provide essential life saving skills. Typical delivery methods are predominantly practical and the course is assessed by continual observation of candidate performance. Features Qualification training requires: Minimum tutor contact time of 6 hours (excluding breaks). 1:12 tutor to candidate ratio. Course must be completed within 3 weeks of starting. Each delivery session must be a minimum of 2 hours. Successful completion will result in candidate gaining ITC Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work with a valid (licence to practice) lifetime of 3 years from date of completion. The HSE strongly recommend candidates take an annual 3 hour refresher during the lifetime of the qualification. The qualification is revalidated by attending another EFAW course after 3 years. 📢 Important Update! A recent trend in people registering for several classes and not showing up to attend those classes has led us to outline the GT APEX Attendance Policy below. This policy will be enforced moving forward. ✅ Commitment to Attend: When you register for our training sessions, your participation not only contributes to your personal and professional growth but also affects the learning experience of your peers. Due to limited participation in our classes, and the potential for a waitlist, we kindly request a strong commitment to attend once you have registered. 🙋♂️ Notification of Non-attendance: If for any reason you are unable to attend the session for which you have registered, please notify us as soon as possible. This allows us to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist who is eager to participate. Prompt notification of your inability to attend is greatly appreciated and is essential in maintaining the quality and accessibility of our training sessions. 📄 Procedure for Cancellation: 1. Go to eCenter (https://lnkd.in/e4ChDTD7) 2. Login. You will see “My Events.” 3. Click on the class you cannot attend and click “Cancel” in the yellow bar at the top. ⚠️ Consequences of Repeated Non-notification: Failure to notify us of your non-attendance at multiple events may result in: - A prioritization of waitlisted participants for future sessions over those with a previous history of non-attendance/non-notification. - Being barred from registering for future sessions, if multiple “no-shows” appear next to your name on multiple training event registrations. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, leading to last-minute changes in your availability. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in communicating any changes to us promptly. This policy helps ensure that all interested participants have the opportunity to benefit from our training sessions. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued interest in our training programs. To obtain information on training class schedules and to register: https://lnkd.in/eGq8tePm

Have you ever had the experience that a conference organiser got "creative" with the title and content of your presentation or workshop at an upcoming conference? The problem with this is that once it is in the official conference program it has become a promise that participants expect you to deliver against. This can go down one of three ways: In the worst case you sit there as a presenter, scratching your head and wondering "how on earth am I gonna deliver on THIS??". In the mid-case scenario you think "okay that's not too bad, I can make this work". But sometimes the outcome can be like in my latest experience with Informa Australia and specifically the great Tina Karas (aka "Tina - Simply the Best"). I look at the content bullets promised to the audience (prepared without my consult) and think "heck yes, I want to present THAT!". Under the hood of a rather unassuming title for a one-day training/workshop ("Rail Signalling Perth"... 🥱 oops, sorry Tina) this will be a true rollercoaster experience for attendees, starting with the evolution of advanced signalling technologies, via benefits and challenges of implementing those, up to interoperability (tapping nicely into the research for my brand-new online training course "Digital Signalling Interoperability") and closing off with "future trends" where I will probably surprise the socks off our participants. This will be an absolute blockbuster event, intended to pave the way for an ongoing partnership with the awesome team from Informa. I'm determined to leave everything on the floor, and that says something. Grab your ticket here before it sells out: https://lnkd.in/gZ_dHa-C See you on the 12th at the Crown in Perth! #railway #signalling #training #perth #livetraining #workshop #docfrankrailservices
