Another feature highlight video! Here I show the quick two step process of removing cars from meshes in DJI Modify. Step one is to flatten the vehicle in the mesh, then step two is to repair the mesh. Im pretty excited to see the future with this program, its only getting better and better. This video is from the Charles H Wright Museum of African American History in Downtown Detroit. Roughly 1100 photos in total with the M350 RTK and Zenmuse P1. Tomorrow is the final Premier League Merseyside derby at Goodison Park - and this 3D model using DJI Zenmuse L2 data shows Everton’s new stadium during part of the construction phase. Buy or hire the DJI Zenmuse L2: https://lnkd.in/eWD_ETZp Drone LiDAR has been used throughout the stadium development, including to monitor infilling at Bramley-Moore Dock and for earthworks calculations. As this model shows, the L2 - which integrates frame LiDAR, a high-accuracy IMU, and an RGB mapping camera - can create true-colour point clouds. Flights conducted at the new stadium showed that the L2 achieved an absolute error of 37mm from 100m flight altitude. Deploy the L2 with the DJI M350 RTK, or the DJI M300 RTK when used with the DJI RC Plus controller. Is this the future of 3D Mapping? Traditional mission planning software typically offers only a 2D base map. But what if you need a 3D model of a structure? Using DJI's Flight Hub 2 cloud mapping feature, we created a base 3D model for our flight planning. This provided a reference point to design a more precise mission for a higher resolution model. However, please note that the slope route planning for the underbelly of the bridge is currently not functional. We hope DJI is working on enabling this feature soon. Having some knowledge of the different ways you can post process the images you capture, alongside some basic knowledge of how #photogrammetry works- not just pressing the button in fields like #heritagedocumentation #satellitearcheaology #ralitycapture or #forensics can be very useful. Even if is just being able to toggle between colour graded, black and white and then aligning pixel to pixel any multispectral image Photogrammetry isn't just about flying #drones. That is just the beginning of what you can do using a camera.

Can you believe the year is drawing to an end?! To celebrate the end of 2024, we're sharing footage from part of our drone show at Eastnor Castle, which consisted of just 24 drones walking across a lake. This part of the show was designed to help the esteemed Herefordshire venue celebrate 30 years of hosting weddings. Our process started with a LiDAR survey and animation to give our client a taster of what it would be like. Now see what you can't see with the naked eye, right from the sky! 🔥 🚁 The use of drones for 3D building capture is taking off, with both RGB and thermal cameras being utilized to analyze heat loss and water-related issues. This technology enables a comprehensive understanding of potential building inefficiencies and areas of concern. In the project below, a multi-storey building was mapped visually and thermally using the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Thermal and Hammer Missions. A carefully calculated flight plan was flown around the building to capture high quality drone data, which was then automatically modelled in 3D and compared side-by-side to find heat and water related issues.
