🤝 SMIB COMMUNITY LIFE 🤝 Being a part of #ESSECSMIB offers a myriad of opportunities to kickstart your career and pursue your passions. Alongside the 100+ student associations at ESSEC Business School, Stratngo Consulting was founded in 2015 by a couple of SMIB students. This pro-bono consulting entity blends hands-on business projects with humanitarian causes, focusing on developing countries. 💬 Harshita Khemani shared her journey within the association: "I joined as General Secretary in M1 and oversaw 6 projects, located all over the world, from Zimbabwe to Romania, with diverse topics. Amongst all missions, one project was a great success for the association, a mission with an #NGO in Cambodia. A well-known NGO that received funding from the UN had trouble increasing the level of awareness amongst farmers of a new cutting-edge technology that would improve productivity during the seeding process. Even though it was selling at low prices, the technology was greatly lacking exposure, so we were very motivated to get involved and help the NGO better the agricultural processes in Cambodia. It proved to be one of the best projects last year and it showcased the commitment of our association towards a better future." 🌍Currently, the association prioritizes coral reef preservation with a French company and promotes women's leadership in Africa. For prospective members, commitment and an impact-driven mindset are crucial. StratnGo serves not only as a consulting association but also as a platform for personal growth, offering coaching for case interviews with major consulting companies. Initially based in Cergy (France), the association is expanding to unite the French and Singapore campuses, with appointed members in ESSEC Asia-Pacific contributing to its goals. 🎓Joining ESSEC Master in Strategy & Management of International Business (SMIB) means seizing the numerous opportunities the program offers to be part of impactful initiatives. 🎤 Interview by Student Ambassador Anca Ghinea

The entire KOKEO team announces that its Fifth International Delegation will take place in Cambodia from November 25 to December 10! 🇰🇭 The different strategic stages of our field approach: 1/ a first delegation to the country to observe and make contact with the different actors of the country: In June 2022, we have already carried out this phase of our delegation to Cambodia (see reminder of our publications on this beautiful discovery delegation by our KOKEO CAMBODGE coordination team) Our President-Founder Vaddana Keo, accompanied by her assistant Sendil Djearamane, traveled with the local coordination team across the country while promoting our solidarity economic development program. 2/ a second stage of the delegation to bring to the field institutional representatives of other States, businesswomen and men, experts and representatives of organizations, all interested in working together for the general interest. All have this desire to bring development and peace to the world through activities focused on sustainable development. KOKEO favors the 3 axes of survival for developing countries: * axis of health - well-being * axis of education - training - reintegration and job creation * axis of housing - reception center - infrastructure and transport This second delegation to Cambodia next November will allow to select the projects that the partners present or represented will have to propose during the said trip. 3 / a third stage of the delegation to establish the selected projects. Consequently, this third stage is a stage of formalism in order to set up the selected projects. The rest follows the classic procedures for setting up a project in a country according to the regulations in force. This is how the voice of Civil Society can be carried and takes on its full meaning in the implementation of projects according to local needs while respecting the environment, social issues and good governance (ESG). KOKEO thus brings a new strategy in economic intelligence, which it calls: concept of omnilateral and circular economic development. For all information: kokeo.org@gmail.com www.kokeo.org

Keep Your Hopes Alive 🌟 One year ago today, I took a bold step into the unknown as I joined Elevate Cote D'Ivoire, a nonprofit that is doing something truly revolutionary, creating wealth through sustainable employment and education for talented Ivorians and Africans. I am proud to say I was privileged to be the first Nigerian in Nigeria to be recruited into this incredible company after completing an intensive three-month training program with the best trainers I could ever imagine. This was at a time when I was experiencing my toughest moments 😔 The transformation was unbelievable! Before the training, I thought I was operating at 20% capacity, but by the end, I soared to 99% and I’m not even exaggerating. 😄 I was equipped with skills, confidence, and a mindset that elevated me not only in my career but also in how I viewed myself. At Elevate Cote D'Ivoire, I discovered something beautiful: a mission that goes beyond simply providing jobs. They are empowering individuals, like myself, with sustainable futures, creating ripple effects in families and communities. This journey has been nothing short of amazing. As I celebrate my one-year with Elevate Côte d'Ivoire, I can’t wait to share more insights, milestones, and stories from my incredible experience. Stay tuned, there’s so much to come! 🎉 Let this be a reminder, wherever you are, keep your hopes alive! 🚀 #OneYearAnniversary #ElevateCoteDIvoire #KeepGrowing #SustainableImpact #VirtualAssistantLife #Empowerment

Exciting Update on the 2022 National Conference on Education Project Charter! I am thrilled to reflect on the incredible outcomes of the 2022 National Conference on Education and the progress made in advancing education in Namibia. The project charter, an initiative aimed at transforming our education system, was presented with great leadership and commitment from Hon. Ester Anna Nghipondoka, Minister of Education, Arts and Culture, and Dr. Itah Kandjii Murangi, Minister of Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation. Together, their vision and dedication to creating an inclusive, forward-thinking educational framework are evident as we work toward shaping a more innovative and dynamic learning environment for our children. The discussions and insights shared during this discussion, held at the Government Information Centre, highlighted the importance of collaboration across sectors to improve education access, quality, and relevance. With this project charter, we are one step closer to realizing the objectives set forth for a brighter, more sustainable educational future in Namibia. Bold Leaders of Learning, Episode 1: We recently had the opportunity to connect with Evans Simiyu who serves at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) as its Knowledge Management and Learning (MEL) Specialist. He’s a bold leader of learning. The Measurement, Evaluation and Learning eco-system he has championed in the Kenya-based #NGO of 300 with headquarters in Nairobi and an office in Senegal holds effective ways of work for Service Industry impact. In his role, he works to ensure the organisation has the right essential knowledge to help people in the right ways. As he explains, “This relates to institutional memory, to finding and applying ways in which knowledge and learning practices can inform decisions.” In the true spirit of learning, he shared with us his learned best practice lessons to enhance knowledge management and learning: 1️⃣ Be deliberate and ensure knowledge management and learning is embedded in every work practice, forming part of every decision you make. This saves time and through it, we build the key skills, knowledge and techniques that people need for their work. 2️⃣ Start small. Most of the time people try to do everything at once. Make sure that what you do is aligned to your people and teams, as well as the underlying factors and business needs of the organisation. 3️⃣ As knowledge workers, we need to forge alliances. Our team works closely with other teams, from the Communication Department to ICT and Human Resources. What’s important is to ensure that what we build and work on meets their specific needs, that it is relevant. You can find our Feature article on the knowledge sharing and specific initiatives developed and implemented with great effect by Evans and his team at the research-centric #NGO in our #CommunityOfPractice at https://lnkd.in/dD-xMPSw. More about APHRC: The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a premier research-to-policy institution that generates evidence, strengthens research and related capacity in the African research and development ecosystem, and engages policy to inform action on health and development. The Centre is Africa-based and African-led, with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, and a West Africa Regional Office (WARO) in Dakar, Senegal. APHRC seeks to drive change by developing strong African research leadership and promoting evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) across sub-Saharan Africa.
