Sleeper Magazine’s Post

🌿 Inside Sleeper 117: Having made his mark on the Japanese hospitality scene with the original Trunk (Hotel) in 2017, followed by the one-suite Trunk (House) in 2019, founder and CEO Yoshitaka Nojiri is now pushing ahead with ambitious plans to open 26 new properties by 2030, starting with Trunk (Hotel) Yoyogi Park. Much like others in the portfolio, this latest venture perfectly embodies Nojiri's vision of creating immersive boutique hotels that are deeply embedded in their community, each embodying a local spirit for a true sense of place. Here in the Tokyo neighbourhood of Tomigaya, a dialogue between Keiji Ashizawa, Norm Architects and Trunk Atelier delivers 'Japandi' minimalism. We loved working on this project with Keiji Ashizawa Design and the TRUNK team – it truly turned out to be a magical space!
