Super Bowl Commercials This year a :30 second commercial is costing 6 1/2 million dollars each! That's 6 1/2 million dollars for ONE impression to reach about 100 million people. For that same amount of money invested on radio you can reach 214 million people on a monthly basis for 3 months. Recent marketing studies show that radio is still reaches more people, offers you greater frequency, grabs more attention, heightens awareness and word of mouth, and is much more cost-efficient. These studies also also just showed that you will achieve a greater return on your spending, create more on-line search, have more web activity, and more store traffic. It showed that radio drives far more people to purchase. In the past 5 years alone 18 - 49 year olds watching TV has dropped 29% and time spent viewing TV has decreased by 62%. In radio both statistics have increased. 81% of all people now listen to radio on a daily basis while only 58% of people watch TV.
