Did you know? According to https://lnkd.in/dVbuqe5T in public schools, where the learner-to-teacher ratio averages 29:1, educators often face immense challenges in providing personalized attention to each student. This high ratio can strain resources and limit the effectiveness of teaching methods tailored to individual needs. Conversely, in private schools, where the ratio stands at a more favourable 18:1, students benefit from smaller class sizes that facilitate more interactive learning experiences. You can make a difference by advocating for policies that prioritize smaller class sizes, equitable distribution of resources, and improved teacher training in public schools. Additionally, consider volunteering your time or donating to organizations that work towards providing educational opportunities for underserved communities. #SmartFoundation #EmpoweringYoungMinds #MakingADifference

Being a teacher is not just a profession—it's a profound responsibility. And being a leader in the education sector is even more demanding. Each day presents unique challenges, from diverse student needs and varied capabilities to differing end goals. In the nonprofit education sector, the hurdles are even greater. Operating with minimal human resources, limited funds, and scant infrastructure, we face a daily battle. Yet, I chose this path because education is not just important—it's essential. Every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to quality education, the best learning materials, and dedicated teachers. At UPAY (UnderPrivileged Advancement by Youth), I often witnesses students waiting with hope in their eyes and curiosity in their hearts, yet finding it challenging to secure the support they need from those who have the privilege of contributing. This Teachers' Day, I urge everyone to come together and support the educational landscape we strive to build for the children in need. Even dedicating a couple of hours a week can make a significant difference. Join us and see firsthand how impactful your involvement can be. Your contribution is not just a donation of time—it's an investment in a child's future. Let's make a change together! #TeachersDay #EducationMatters #VolunteerForEducation #SupportOurChildren #MakeADifference #nonprofitEducation

Did you know that 1 in 4 children leave primary school unable to read well? This month, IICF’s story of impact features Bookmark Reading Charity, which helps children to develop a deep and enduring love of reading as well as the reading skills they need for future success. IICF’s 2024 grant has allowed Bookmark to enter new communities – providing library packs to more than six schools, with each pack including 200 new books and a subscription to Story Corner magazine for one year. This equates to almost 5,000 new books and reading materials to schools and reaching approximately 1,504 children. At the same time, 90% of teachers supported by Bookmark have been inspired to develop either their school's reading for pleasure provision, their reading spaces, or their school’s reading culture. “'I have seen a huge difference in the children’s attitude to reading. Most of our Year 3 pupils on the reading programme have made 4-5 months' progress over the 12 weeks and two formerly disengaged boys have made 11 months and 16 months progress respectively – it’s fantastic!'”. – Teacher at a Bookmark partner school To learn more, visit www.bookmarkreading.org. About IICF The UK has one of the poorest rates of social mobility in the developed world. We’re working to change this by uniting the industry in volunteering, leadership, and grants to social mobility charities. In the UK, we’ve raised nearly £2M to change the lives of more than 7,200 people across the country. Day 4: Make An IMPACT, Inspire Futures Today, we’re shining a spotlight on the vital work Junior League of The Woodlands does through our IMPACT event. Did You Know? On average, teachers spend over $500/year out of their own pockets each year on classroom needs and professional development. Junior League of The Woodlands has dedicated an initiative that offers thousands of free Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours and grants to support classroom projects that would otherwise go unfunded. JLTW connects with teachers to understand their classroom needs and, through grants, funds projects that make impactful changes to a student’s educational experience. The IMPACT Committee supports educators and school administrators through: Teacher funding: JLTW grants put money where it is most needed, directly in the classroom! Free Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit Inspiring keynote speakers Your donation directly impacts the lives of educators and their students in our community. As we reflect on the incredible impact teachers have on our lives, it's essential to take a moment to appreciate their hard work and dedication. They shape our future, inspire us to dream big, and empower us with knowledge. Today I will be selecting a local teacher from an elementary school in Greenville County to celebrate! Join me on this journey to celebrate educators around the globe. Here are a few ways you can give back: 1. **Volunteer Your Time**: Offer to help in classrooms, tutor students, or assist with school events. 2. **Donate Supplies**: Teachers often spend their own money on classroom supplies. Consider donating items or funds to help them stock up. 3. **Share Your Skills**: If you have a particular skill or expertise, host a workshop or provide mentorship to both teachers and students. 4. **Advocate for Support**: Engage with local educational initiatives and advocate for resources and funding for our schools. Let’s make a positive difference in the lives of those who dedicate themselves to educating our future generations. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and support. How do you plan to give back to teachers this year? Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments! #CommunityService #SupportTeachers #GiveBack #EducationMatters #EmpowerEducators

At GRM, we believe that making a meaningful impact often lies in the little things that might seem small or ignorable to many. Recently, we had the privilege of donating ceiling fans to multiple schools, ensuring that every child can learn in a comfortable environment. The event was graced by our esteemed Founder and Ex-Chairman, Mr. Hukam Chand Garg, whose vision continues to inspire us. His presence was a testament to the values we hold dear – that of giving back to our community and focusing on the finer details that contribute to a brighter future. We know firsthand the importance of a conducive learning environment and the profound impact it can have on a child's ability to focus, learn, and dream bigger. It's these seemingly small contributions that can have a massive impact – much like the butterfly effect. It’s not just the grand gestures that matter, but also the everyday comforts and logistics that make a school a true haven for learning. Together, let’s continue to support education not only by infrastructure but also by ensuring that these spaces are accessible, joyful, and encouraging. It’s the collective effort of addressing both the big and small needs that truly builds the foundation for future generations. #BuildingFutures #CommunitySupport #EducationForAll #GRMOverseas #SmallGesturesBigImpact #ChildhoodEducation #ComfortInLearning #GivingBack

Rethinking Education Philanthropy: Empowering Educators and Students As we strive to create meaningful impact through our non-profit work, I've been pondering: What if we shifted our focus from solely donating books to empowering educators and students through transformative educational programs? Rather than just providing books, what if we: Established teacher training programs that focus on innovative pedagogies and technology integration? Developed digital educational resources that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities? Implemented mentorship programs that pair students with professionals in their desired fields? By focusing on educational empowerment rather than just book donations, we can create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the classroom. What's your view? Let's engage in this conversation! How can we work together to create a brighter, more educated future for all? #Education #Empowerment #NonProfit
