🗞💥 BREAKING NEWS 💥🗞 Lab-grown meat has just been approved for pet food in the UK!!! 🐶📢 Britain becomes the first country in Europe to approve cultivated meat. This is also the first time a cultivated pet food product has been cleared for sale ANYWHERE in the world. 😲🌍 Following the decision by the Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) on July 2, Meatly can supply its cultivated chicken to dog food manufacturers. This product is made by taking a small sample from a chicken egg, cultivating it with vitamins and amino acids in a lab, then growing cells in a container similar to those in which beer is fermented. Why is this such big news? 🤷♀️ 🐶 Pet ownership is increasing here in the UK 🥫 We're feeding pets A LOT of meat (roughly 20% of all meat produced) ⏳ The growing demand for this carbon-intensive food is unsustainable Meatly's cultivated chicken uses up to 64% less land and 28% less water to produce. And ZERO animals are slaughtered.
