Today, as violence continues in the small Caribbean nation of Haiti and its Prime Minister Ariel Henry announces that he will step down from office, we take a deep dive to understand the history, circumstances and politics that have brought about the rise of criminal gangs in the country and led to deep opposition to Henry's government. As we broaden our understanding, we suggest specific topics that we might home in on in our intentions and prayers.
