Did you know that 25% of all human-caused GHG emissions are linked to food? At Solina we´re taking responsibility for the impact our operations and our part in the value chain have on the environment. Ensuring a sustainable food system is going to be critical for the years to come. Therefore, our mission is to develop food solutions that are both better for people and the planet. It´s the only way to create a food system where we can preserve or even strengthen the economic, social and environmental bases for coming generations. Our 2030 targets: 🌏 -42% reduction in our GHG emissions of Scope 1 & Scope 2, 🌎 100% renewable electricity, 🌍 -25% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions. To show our dedication, we have signed our commitment to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). Find out more about Solina´s 2023 emissions and our targets for 2030 in the Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/enwRc2mR #wemakefoodmatter Note to our 2030 targets: -Scope 1 is carbon coming from our own facilities, -Scope 2 is carbon linked to bought electricity, -Scope 3 is carbon linked to our value chain.

Serious progress is happening in the world of Australian dairy processing! They are solidifying their sustainability credentials with some impressive achievements. New data shows a reduction of almost 38% in absolute carbon emissions since 2010/11. In 2022/23, dairy processors generated an average of 125.5t CO2e of greenhouse gas per ML of raw milk processed — a 10.4% drop in emissions intensity from 2015/16 and 29.8% since 2010/11. So, how are they making this happen? By improving operating efficiencies, transitioning to renewable energy, turning waste into bioenergy, decarbonising fleets, and optimising transport activities. There are countless success stories, and we’ve compiled them in our new publication, Australian dairy processors commitment to a sustainable future. This report features case studies and tracks our progress towards the targets set in the Australian Dairy Industry Sustainability Framework. Want the full picture?
