New ECHA progress update on #PFAS restriction (20 nov. 2024) Finally the European Chemicals Agency mentions sealing applications as a separate subject in the PFAS regulation: "Examples of newly identified uses are: - #Sealing applications: a broad range of fluoropolymer uses in consumer, professional and industrial applications, including seals, pipe lining, gaskets, valve parts, etc." Other restriction options will be considered for fluorpolymers. This means at least that there will more time to find alternative materials for sealing applications. In my opinion it is necessary to work together as an industry to take your responsibility and solve this issue by open innovation programs. thahttps://lnkd.in/dPUj2fCJ
