in the age of endless content, curation is king As someone who's been in the audio game for a while, I've seen firsthand the challenges of discoverability. But curated networks like what Airwave Media is doing offer a solution: a way to connect passionate listeners with additional high-quality content. ...Right now I'd also pay $5/month for someone who could reliably vet more audio content based on what I like already. If I were an indie podcaster right now, I'd be hitting up other shows in my niche to brainstorm collaborative feed drops or even creating our own mini-network. We know podcasting is not a zero-sum game And hey, podcatcher app developers, how about some slick playlist features that connect listeners to similar shows based on what they're already enjoying?

Aha! This is part of what I was ranting about on Never Post the other day - the difficulty public radio stations have supporting (and especially monetizing) their digital offerings (ie: podcasts). Maybe this will help? 🤔 Here's a summary of Dovetail: "Dovetail from PRX enables public media stations and content producers to deliver audio content to audiences across all on-demand podcast platforms, provide real-time audience data and metrics, manage dynamic ad delivery, identify underwriting and fundraising opportunities, and integrate easily with existing technology." The grant is for a pilot that will enable free access to Dovetail for 30 public media stations. Stations must apply to participate.
