After serving as Chief Development Officer for 8 years and as Interim CEO for the past 2.5 months, I’m honored to now serve as the President and CEO of Springs Rescue Mission.
From a young age, I went to church often - still do. At times back then, it felt complicated (sometimes it still does)—until I read the words of Jesus. The paraphrase I hold onto is simple: Love God and Love Others. It’s easy to say, but it takes a lifetime to live out. I fumble with it every day, but it’s the work I’m committed to—the work we’re all called to.
At Springs Rescue Mission, I see this truth in action daily: neighbors helping neighbors, people LovingBigger. Some on SRM's campus carry heavy burdens and few possessions, while others in the community carry different burdens with much. The struggles may look different, but the humanity and the desire for meaningful purpose is the same.
I want to be clear: If you're like-minded, this mission is your mission. It needs you. That’s so evident in the team members who’ve served at SRM, past and present: your efforts inspire me and have built the foundation we stand on today. To the community and partners who champion this work: you lift me up daily. Together, you’ve made the impossible possible.
I will do my best to honor your contributions, build upon this legacy, and keep our eyes fixed on what is good, true, and transformative.
Let’s do this, together. It’s Your Mission.

2wI imagine it will also be difficult for the rescuers to return to normal life after these experiences. Does SOS Humanity offer guidance or counselling to help with this?
