🔌 The Power Behind Innovation: Electrical Engineering's Role 🌟 Electrical engineering is at the heart of every technological breakthrough we witness today. From the smartphones in our pockets to the electric vehicles on our roads, the influence of electrical engineering is undeniable. It's fascinating to see how this field continually pushes the boundaries of what's possible. In my experience, the most exciting aspect of electrical engineering is its versatility. Whether it's developing renewable energy solutions to combat climate change or creating advanced medical devices that save lives, electrical engineers are the unsung heroes behind these innovations. For instance, the UK has seen a 30% increase in renewable energy capacity over the past five years, largely thanks to advancements in electrical engineering (source: UK Government Energy Statistics). I believe that the future holds even more promise. As we move towards a more connected and sustainable world, the role of electrical engineers will only become more critical. Their work not only drives technological progress but also shapes the way we live and interact with our environment. Let's celebrate and support the incredible contributions of electrical engineers in making our world a better place. #ElectricalEngineering #Innovation #Technology Patrick's List

Four women. Four engineers - two mechanical and two telecom engineers. Together - absolute heroes. To be honest, before I joined Hitachi Rail, I was not aware of the many many types of roles and skills and jobs that make up the rail industry. But since then, I have been discovering something amazing about the wide variety of roles and the work our colleagues do - with every single encounter in my role as an employer branding specialist. It is honestly mind boggling! Just to give an example - here are four colleagues I have interviewed, and their roles: - Antonietta (detta Antonella) Dell'Aglio mechanical engineer on a normal day - works hundreds of feet below the ground building city metro networks - hold your breath - many times at mid night with usually all-male teams - Siddhi Gangar telecoms engineer - when I met her she was working on a cybersecurity project that employed blockchain to secure rail communication network - Valentina Galli telecom engineer - when I met her she was working as Head of Compliance in the Digital Innovation team that wants to think beyond railways and enhance passenger travel experience - Ying Cen Tee mechanical engineer - who brings in cutting edge design thinking into making trains more inclusive We often notice trains only when there are delays or strikes. Otherwise we just hop on and off thinking more about the destination we are getting to. But so many people, brilliant and dedicated, work together silently behind the scenes to ensure millions of us get to where we want surely and safely. I hope stories like this gives ideas of different career paths, and importantly real life role models to young boys and girls. More imagination to career aspirations and more inspiration to those already in STEM studies Not all heroes wear capes 😊 Link to their interviews in comment below #hitachirail #jobsinrail #railcareers #employerbranding #womeninrail

"The best thing about being an engineer is that you cannot change the laws of physics; they are universal, and they work the same all over the world." says our Chief Electrical Engineer, Mg. sc. ing. Jānis Reinholds. Today, March 4, we celebrate World Engineering Day, highlighting engineers' achievements worldwide and improving the public understanding of the importance of engineering and technology. We asked a question to a few of our AE Partners engineers to understand: What is the best thing about being an engineer? Our CEO and engineer in heart, Claus Ravn, says: "One of the best things about being an engineer is creating future quality systems and complex solutions, the opportunity to impact society significantly, and contributing to technological advancements. Engineers can solve complex problems, improve efficiency, and create innovative solutions that can benefit people's lives in various ways. Additionally, the constant pursuit of better solutions challenges engineers to continuously learn and grow, leading to personal and professional development. Seeing a project come to fruition and knowing that your work has made a positive difference is truly rewarding for engineers." "Being an engineer is a passion and a way of life. Engineers are constantly curious, motivated, and eager to learn new things and explore new possibilities." acknowledges the Personnel Training and Development Project Manager and Mg. Ing. Edgars Budreckis. He continues: "Some of the best things about being an engineer are that engineers can positively impact the world by creating solutions that address global challenges such as climate change, energy, health, and security. Engineers can enjoy a rewarding and fulfilling career with intellectual stimulation, personal growth, and professional development. As an Engineer, I can work on challenging and exciting projects that span various domains and sectors." Congratulations to all the engineers we work with every day building electrical panels. We know that the sustainability of our future is in your minds and hands! #engineering #engineers #automationengineer #automationengineering #aepartner
