Where are my nonprofit friends at!? NeonOne released this new report on monthly giving for nonprofits. I've been digging in since the nanosecond I could download it. Not nonprofit related!? Check it out anyway! It could help you understand why monthly gifts are so important to all of us in the nonprofit sector! According to @neononetech 's brand new #RecurringGivingReport , medium-sized nonprofits showed a 154% average increase in recurring giving revenue from 2018 to 2022. Large nonprofits had a 144% average increase; while small nonprofits had a 135% average increase. NEW REPORT: The Research Team at the Center for Effective Philanthropy just released today the "State of Nonprofits 2024: What Funders Need to Know." This report is based on an annual survey of U.S. nonprofits that receive foundation funding. The findings highlight ongoing issues with burnout and staffing within nonprofits. Interestingly, nonprofit leaders are now increasingly concerned about their own burnout, impacting their organization's mission achievement. The Giving USA Annual Report was recently released showing that giving in 2023 declined ever so slightly--2.1% adjusted for inflation. That's the headline. There are more details in the fuller report. ➡️This doesn't mean the sky is falling. Estimated giving to #nonprofits is still nearly half a trillion (with a "t") dollars. ➡️It's also easy to dismiss the report because it's not tracking all the other forms of generosity we see to individuals, mutual aid societies, other crowdfunded purposes. The report is clear in what it tracks. There are also a number of other great resources which together can help #fundraisers and #nonprofit leaders understand the ecosystem in which they're operating. ➡️It's also easy to ignore the report because "the results don't apply to my nonprofit." If you are fundraising, then it's important to understand broader trends to learn how to apply those to your organization. These are just three things we keep hearing each year with the release.
