Our wine grape cultivation results are in from Champagne Expérimentation, an accredited field trial agency [5/63 - 2024 results] ✅ Between April and October 2024, we trialed #StimBlue+, our cultivated macrocystis pyrifera-based biostimulant, on wine grapes in the Champagne region for the second consecutive year 🍇 we compared StimBlue+ with a control group and a competitor group, testing against Ascophyllum nodosum, and the results are incredible! Key Findings 🌱 🥇 Throughout the harvests in 2023 and 2024, plots treated with StimBlue+ consistently showed a greater yield than control and competitor, between a 30-55% increment. 👉 By applying StimBlue+, farmers made between 7.000 - 15.000 euros extra revenue per hectare in 2023 and 2024! 🥇 The N-Tester handheld device was used to measure the nitrogen status of grapevines by assessing leaf chlorophyll content, which correlates with nitrogen levels. StimBlue+ at 1L/Ha and 2L/Ha showed significantly greater results compared to control and competitor, leading to a nitrogen increase of 9% in the vines. This can also be witnessed by the “greener” colour of the plants treated with StimBlue+ when compared to other treatments. 👉 Reach out to us via the website if you haven't tested StimBlue+ on your grape cultivation yet: https://lnkd.in/ebJ89_wZ 📩 Want to read the full report? My ultimate dream in life is to take up farming some day. A few days ago, I found a carefully treasured memory that reminded me that my dream might not be a distant reality. Last year when I went to Rome for the World Food Forum, I was particularly thrilled at the prospect of visiting an organic agriculture cooperative littered with olive groves, orchards and fields cultivated with vegetables. It's one thing to try the drool-worthy Italian cuisine, but to have the rare pleasure of tasting extra virgin olive oil - the liquid gold that gives birth to culinary masterpieces - after seeing it being freshly cold pressed in front of my eyes, was the defining moment of my 'World Food Forum' experience. Having addressed the issue of dismally low land ownership by women in Punjab, a meagre 2% which is abysmally less than the national average, just a day before the visit, it was a fresh breath of life to visit the women-led cooperative farm in San Filipo Neri, Rome. From olive harvesting to segregation of leaves and twigs from the olives to cold-pressing the olives that gave us the extra virgin olive oil and leftover olive pomac (a residual paste that can be utilised as a bio-fertilizer later) to finally, tasting the fresh oil with bread, the process enabled me to experience the 'slowness and humanness' of growing and making food. It was a timely reminder that any conversation, policy-intervention or action to improve food is misguided if we are dissociated from our food systems. The detachment shows up in our disregard for the slow and natural and our preference for the fast and artificial. If you ever find yourself lost in life, look for the source of the food and water you consume. #rome #farm #fao #italy #olive #oil #sustainability #womenempowerment #farmers

“Brought back to life, these vineyards thrive very much on their own. The vineyards are dry-farmed (no irrigation), organically (no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides), and there is almost no intervention in the winery either: all native yeast for fermentation and no enzymes or acids added. We get to truly taste the special nuances of each vineyards and vines, which are often over a hundred years old.” Excerpt taken from the newest edition of the book: Exploring Wine Regions: The Central Coast of California #winelovers #booklover #winestagram #wine #grapes #winegrapes
