What comes to mind when you think of networking?
Chasing sales?
Fear of rejection?
Awkward conversations?
Boring events?
Being talked at by so-called experts?
But now, think about the last time you had dinner with friends, grabbed a drink with colleagues, or played a round of golf. You probably wouldn’t call that networking, right? Yet, in those moments, you were building relationships, sharing laughs, and connecting in a meaningful way✨
For Lisa Nott and I, THIS is what true networking is all about 💫
It’s the sense of camaraderie we’ve built at The Property Black Book Club.
If this sounds like your style of networking your last chance to join us in 2024 will be at our November Events.

People always say networking is done in the cocktail parties, clubs, social events and less about the ballroom meetings... let's find out what my partners Nils Walle and Melvin Xavier and our beloved freight forwarding friends think...

At Array, networking isn't just a part of our training—it's at the heart of everything we do! 🤝
We believe that investing time in getting to know our clients and candidates makes us better at what we do. Building strong relationships and maintaining those connections is a win-win for everyone involved. 🌟
Here is a perfect example of Ray networking at the BINDT Annual Golf Outing. By prioritizing networking, we ensure that we understand your needs and aspirations, leading to more successful outcomes. Keeping in touch with our network not only strengthens our community but also opens up incredible opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Let's continue to connect, learn, and grow together. Your network is your net worth! 🌐

What a whirlwind of networking events! From rubbing elbows with industry leaders to winning the cash raffle, it’s been quite the ride.
Farha Roofing Extravaganza 🏠:
Kicked things off at a fantastic event hosted by Farha Roofing, where I got to catch up with the fabulous Shelby Vilano. [who looked stunning in what I am calling a St. Patrick Day dress!]
I also brought along Craig Thatcher from ADH Solar— I love connecting people and let's say that this was golden!
The event was nothing short of spectacular, giving us a chance to meet everyone from the owners to the sales team and local staff. Shout out to Tianna Kelly. We discovered we have a mutual connection - the fabulous Krissy Buck!
What really stood out was the amazing company culture at Farha. It’s clear they’re not just about roofs; they’re about building community.
Glendale Chamber of Commerce Breakfast 🎤:
The usual suspects were all there, and guess what? I won the cash raffle! 🥳 It’s always a thrill to catch up with familiar faces and see how we’re all moving and shaking in our respective fields.
Live Networking Magic 🌟:
Then, there was the event with Catherine and Tab Pierce, where, lo and behold, I ran into Craig again! It’s moments like these that remind me how small and interconnected our world is.
Networking isn’t just about exchanging business cards; it’s about creating lasting relationships that open doors to new opportunities. Each handshake, and each conversation is a potential gateway to great adventures in business and collaborations.

One of the things I love best about networking in person is the quality of conversations and the mutual empowerment among everyone. You just cannot get this type of interaction going online.
Each month I host networking lunches with 7 associates I want to get to know better. Last week I caught up with some attendees from my Summer Networking Event for lunch at Verace Pizza in Oakville. Maria Stipic, Bhargavi Rajesh, Faith Evan West, PCC, David Sanders, CPA, CMA, Robbie Spier Miller, Treena Reilkoff and I shared how we're adjusting to some of the biggest disruptions we're facing. The exchange of ideas is one of the best aspects of networking!
I'm curious who else is gathering their business associates for in person meetings like this. If you are post what you're up to below!
Networking is more than just exchanging business cards; it’s about forging meaningful connections that open doors to growth, learning, and success. 🌟
In 2025, let’s focus on building authentic, intentional relationships that truly make a difference. Whether it’s expanding your circle, collaborating with like-minded professionals, or mentoring someone in your field, networking is the superpower that can transform your journey.
