Ignite your SOUL to achieve success 🎯 Empowering high-performing professionals like YOU to step off the hamster wheel of diminishing returns and live WITH purpose ✨ Soul and Purpose Coach + Facilitator + Project Manager
You DON'T have to leave your job in order to live in your purpose!!
Ever since I started my career in 2007, I hopped around from company to company trying to find my place, thinking that my happiness and sense of fulfillment was in some 'role or company or status or salary amount'.
I hustled. I worked hard. I took sh*t from a lot of unhappy souls.
What I discovered is that it's really not about what you do, it's everything about WHO you are being.
Who you are drives 'what' you do and 'how' you do it. When we shift from this perspective, everything else shifts around us. Opportunities come in, new people start appearing for our elevation and expansion of self, you feel seen because you see yourself first.
Co-operators is the FIRST company where I met incredible leaders who elevated my growth in a way I could not imagine.
It is the FIRST company where I truly blossomed into bringing out parts of myself I kept hidden for a long time.
It is the FIRST company where I reached the 5+ years milestone (all other 6 companies were <3 years).
I love the values of how the company originated and to be part of the Resiliency & Sustainability team now is a vibrational match for where I am in my life journey.

I look back so fondly at my time almost 15 years ago when I started at Groupon, where hardworking, smart and scrappy employees had lots of opportunities to get hands-on, impactful experience across a breadth of teams and tools. Salaries at the time were not especially competitive for many roles, but the value of what I learned from getting thrown into new and challenging situations and having to think quickly on my feet (realizing I broke something in SFDC that impacted much of the sales org while sitting in an offshore office in Portugal at 10 pm - and then the lights in the building going off - comes to mind...) was invaluable and paid off in the long run.
I see this same type of opportunity at LaSalle Network. We are on a path to grow significantly over the next couple years, and leadership gives a lot of trust and autonomy to individuals who might not start with a lot of experience but are scrappy, curious, and hardworking (not to mention fun to sit by or Zoom with!).
Since we were just recognized for two significant awards, I'd like to take a minute to showcase what I admire about each of my team members:
● Years ago Kristin saw a need for a role that didn't exist at the company; she pitched it to leadership and is now leading a team of six people in that role supporting some of our largest clients.
● LaSalle was Morgan's first corporate job after being a (I imagine excellent) barista. Over the years she's proactively identified process and tool enhancements, asked for the opportunity to learn new technical skills and manage larger projects, and is now one of the most technically proficient Project Managers at the company.
● There wasn't a very clear role for Laura when she initially started at LaSalle - we just wanted to hire more sharp people who we trusted to make an impact - and she quickly jumped in to help Marketing, Sales, and Operations in whatever capacity was needed. Fast forward, she's now a Project Manager who just rolled out a months-long initiative that will greatly improve the experience for the Talent we partner with as well as our recruiters.
● Charles (Zim) graduated in May and has seen more changes in the few months he's been here than most do in their first job out of college; the coolest part is how he's both "rolled with the punches" and is so eager to take on bigger projects and have access to work closely with leadership.
● Lauren is on week 2, and from everything we've seen she is going to fit into this group perfectly (just need to get a quote of yours on the white board... ;)
● Heather (for some reason I can't tag you...) started here as a full-time employee, and when she wanted to try to become a FT consultant, LaSalle supported that transition and it's been a win/win partnership ever since. Where would I be without your brain, unlimited energy, incredibly thoughtful gifts, and the mentorship you provide the Ops crew?
LaSalle Network has been recognized with two Top Workplaces awards – one for Professional Development and another for Employee Appreciation. These awards are not just titles. They're a reflection of our leaders' commitment to investing in LaSallians' growth from 2,000+ hours of annual training to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued. 🚀 Energized and Excited! My Trip to Ottawa 🛫
This week, I had the pleasure of visiting our Ottawa Head Office, and I must say, the experience has left me invigorated and optimistic about the future of our organization.
While Calgary is where I call home, I am fortunate to work with a talented and diverse team spread across Canada. It was heartwarming to finally meet in person the colleagues I had only known through screens and to reconnect with old friends.
The highlight of my trip was the onboarding of our new DEI Specialist. This role is pivotal in our commitment to fostering an environment where diversity thrives, equitable opportunities are accessible to all, and inclusion is felt through a strong sense of belonging. 🌟
Onboarding is more than just a process; it's an investment in both the individual and the organization. Here’s why setting clear 30, 60, and 90-day goals is crucial for success:
1. Clarity and Direction: Well-defined goals provide new hires with a clear understanding of their responsibilities and the milestones they need to achieve, reducing ambiguity and setting the stage for success.
2. Early Engagement: Structured onboarding ensures that new employees feel valued and engaged from day one, which boosts morale and fosters a sense of belonging.
3. Skill Development: A phased approach allows for gradual learning and skill acquisition, ensuring that new hires can build their expertise and confidence over time.
4. Performance Tracking: Regular check-ins and goal assessments help track progress, address challenges early on, and provide timely feedback, ensuring continuous improvement.
5. Alignment with Company Values: Setting goals that align with organizational values and mission ensures that new hires are integrated into the company culture and understand their role in the bigger picture.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this significant step forward. Here’s to a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just goals, but realities we live and breathe every day. 🌍✨
