Strategy and Operations Leader at LaSalle Network

I look back so fondly at my time almost 15 years ago when I started at Groupon, where hardworking, smart and scrappy employees had lots of opportunities to get hands-on, impactful experience across a breadth of teams and tools. Salaries at the time were not especially competitive for many roles, but the value of what I learned from getting thrown into new and challenging situations and having to think quickly on my feet (realizing I broke something in SFDC that impacted much of the sales org while sitting in an offshore office in Portugal at 10 pm - and then the lights in the building going off - comes to mind...) was invaluable and paid off in the long run. I see this same type of opportunity at LaSalle Network. We are on a path to grow significantly over the next couple years, and leadership gives a lot of trust and autonomy to individuals who might not start with a lot of experience but are scrappy, curious, and hardworking (not to mention fun to sit by or Zoom with!). Since we were just recognized for two significant awards, I'd like to take a minute to showcase what I admire about each of my team members: ● Years ago Kristin saw a need for a role that didn't exist at the company; she pitched it to leadership and is now leading a team of six people in that role supporting some of our largest clients. ● LaSalle was Morgan's first corporate job after being a (I imagine excellent) barista. Over the years she's proactively identified process and tool enhancements, asked for the opportunity to learn new technical skills and manage larger projects, and is now one of the most technically proficient Project Managers at the company. ● There wasn't a very clear role for Laura when she initially started at LaSalle - we just wanted to hire more sharp people who we trusted to make an impact - and she quickly jumped in to help Marketing, Sales, and Operations in whatever capacity was needed. Fast forward, she's now a Project Manager who just rolled out a months-long initiative that will greatly improve the experience for the Talent we partner with as well as our recruiters. ● Charles (Zim) graduated in May and has seen more changes in the few months he's been here than most do in their first job out of college; the coolest part is how he's both "rolled with the punches" and is so eager to take on bigger projects and have access to work closely with leadership. ● Lauren is on week 2, and from everything we've seen she is going to fit into this group perfectly (just need to get a quote of yours on the white board... ;) ● Heather (for some reason I can't tag you...) started here as a full-time employee, and when she wanted to try to become a FT consultant, LaSalle supported that transition and it's been a win/win partnership ever since. Where would I be without your brain, unlimited energy, incredibly thoughtful gifts, and the mentorship you provide the Ops crew?
