Robotics & Drones Capital Raises in the U.S. - July 25-31, 2024 The Robotics & Drones saw three deals this past week.   If you would like more info on these deals or would like to discuss the capital raising market for your company, please DM me.   Merger/Acquisition and Corporate 1. Capital Industries (IT Consulting and Outsourcing), a designer and manufacturer of custom robotic and automation solutions based in Shelbyville, Indiana, was acquired by Acieta through its financial sponsor Mason Wells. This acquisition aims to expand its robotics and automation capabilities. (Lead Investor: Acieta). 2. Ghost Robotics, a manufacturer of legged robots designed for unmanned ground vehicle applications, was acquired by LIG Nex1 (KRX: 079550) for $240 million to enhance defense and commercial robotic capabilities. The company is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.   Early Stage VC 3. OnSight (Hardware), a developer of autonomous and teleoperated unmanned systems for industrial applications, raised an undisclosed amount in early-stage VC funding to accelerate its product development and deployment. The round also saw continued support from long-standing investors StartupXseed Ventures LLP and Navam Capital . This infusion of capital is poised to accelerate Aereo's mission of revolutionizing capital asset management through advanced drone technology and AI-powered data analytics. Worrying signs for the industry is the news that German pioneer Volocopter are in serious financial difficulty and they have so far failed in getting support from their regional government by way of a loan guarantee. The industry is cutting edge and R&D is expensive and means tah tincome streams can take a long time to go live. As an industry drones need long term backing to unleash the full potential.
