#IFEAT was the perfect networking event to help us raise awareness about the alarming trends threatening the livelihoods of small-scale agricultural producers. I felt it was my duty to share my concerns in the IFEAT WORLD MAGAZINE on such a critical issue: the changing agricultural landscape and the concerning decline of family farms. This decline not only impacts our economy but also threatens our cultural heritage, which has been passed down through generations. For me, sustainability goes beyond ethical work practices and the prevention of child labor; it encompasses safeguarding family farms that grow authentic crops like lavender and rose. These farms, with their long-established distillation methods, are essential to preserving the quality of these vital essential oils.
