Transforming Operations with Lean Expertise, Automation and Digitalization – Former Danaher VP & MD: Elevating Your Business to Operational Excellence. Let’s Connect!
Early morning routine after electronica and SEMICON Europe:
During the event, I had the pleasure of connecting with many innovative professionals and engaging in insightful discussions about the future of technology and manufacturing. The exchange of ideas was truly inspiring, and I’m excited to bring these fresh perspectives back to my work in lean manufacturing & engineering.
Now comes the most exciting part: turning these ideas into tangible value for my clients, helping them stay ahead in today’s competitive manufacturing landscape. 🚀
A big thank you to everyone I met – your passion and expertise have sparked new initiatives that I can’t wait to implement. Looking forward to collaborating and achieving great results together!
Exhibitions like these remind me of the power of collaboration and innovation in shaping the future.
What was your key takeaway from the exhibition? Let’s discuss!

Happy Friday!
Innovation continues to reshape the landscape of manufacturing, and at Big Shine Worldwide, we’re excited about the shift towards smaller, more modular “chiplets.” These innovative components are designed for specific functions—like data storage or signal processing—and can be interconnected to form cohesive systems.
Why Modular Chiplets Matter:
- Enhanced Efficiency: By breaking down complex systems into smaller, specialized units, manufacturers can optimize performance and functionality.
- Reduced Defects: Smaller chips are inherently less likely to contain defects, streamlining production processes and reducing manufacturing costs.
- Flexibility and Scalability: Modular chiplets offer scalability and flexibility, allowing for easier upgrades and adaptations to evolving technological needs.

Today, we published the second-quarter result for the 2024 fiscal year of Infineon Technologies, with the numbers coming in as expected. We are managing the current cyclical downswing in a robust way. Thanks to the #Infineon team worldwide that is fully committed to this task!
Our market environment continues to be challenging, with low demand in consumer-related applications, slowing automotive growth and inventory reduction at our customers and distributors. Therefore, we are de-risking the outlook for the rest of the fiscal year and are lowering our forecast.
Beyond the current cyclical weakness, our structural growth drivers are fully intact. To further strengthen our competitive position in the mid- and long term, we are launching “Step Up” – a company-wide program to structurally improve our competitiveness. At the same time, we will continue to make targeted investments to boost our innovative strength.
This will enable us to make the best possible use of the growth opportunities that #decarbonization and #digitalization offer for Infineon.
As electric vehicles and smart transportation solutions gain momentum, the demand for advanced semiconductor technology is skyrocketing.
This shift is not only reshaping the automotive sector but also presenting ✅new challenges and ✅opportunities for semiconductor manufacturers and suppliers.
The EcoMobility_project is playing a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of 🔋electric vehicles and 🚃 smart mobility solutions. This increased demand for automotive semiconductors is driving the need for optimized supply chain processes to ensure efficient production and distribution of semiconductor components. By incorporating supply chain operations, manufacturers can meet the growing demand, reduce lead times, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Collaboration and innovation are key as we navigate these changes and work towards a more sustainable and efficient automotive semiconductor ecosystem. Together with the Ecomobility team, we will leverage the potential of the project to drive positive impact and shape the future of the industry. 💡

Happy New Year to one & all 🥳🍾🎆 ... And as 2025 begins, I'm off at #CES2025.

#DigitalEnterprise: IT / OT Convergence ... "When they see that we have the process data from all machines that's available ... for each PCB board produced here, we can say exactly how was it soldered, how was it assembled, how was it coded ... we have the full traceability ... that's super impressive"
"What's challenging is that we have a very heterogeneous kind of park of machines ... we have different type of vendors ... legacy equipment, which we can't just toss away just because it doesn't have a data connectivity ... we have to use log files ... using #IndustrialEdge ... to use those files, parse the data and make it available to all ..."
"What's next? ... enable all our people to interact & connect their machines, that we don't need data expert and IT specialists to get the data out of the machine.
Second ... provide tools so everyone is able to get insights of the data ... Looking at these trends with large language models ... if we transfer that to our production ... train it all the process data ... and then just enable our people to 'chat' with their manufacturing..."
"What I think is the most cool about my job here, is being able to solve real problems of the shop floor."
While visiting the Siemens Electronics Factory Erlangen, I had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Benjamin Lutz, Digitalization & Technology Expert at the factory to delve deeper into how the IT / OT Convergence enables Siemens' Digital Enterprise Strategy.
These are a few clips, with a link to our full chat is in a comment 👇 below.
This video is the 3rd Episode in a "Siemens Digital Enterprise" series I recorded with some of the folks at Siemens Electronics Factory #Erlangen / Grätewerk Erlangen (GWE), who are bringing the vision of a #Sustainable#DigitalEnterprise to life there.
The remaining episodes will all be released in the run up to HANNOVER MESSE, #HM24Siemens Industry, Siemens Digital Industries Software#Industrial#Automation#Simulation#IT#OT#IIoT#ElectronicsFactoryErlangen#Gerätewerkerlangen#GWE#TheImpact
