As part of their Singapore visit, the delegation first explored Kim Chuan Depot where SMRT showcased innovative solutions that were developed from smart technologies, underscoring commitment to a more resilient and passenger-centered transport system.   After that, Stellar Lifestyle showcased SMRT’s on-ground protocols and our hybrid working concept at Paya Lebar MRT - emphasising how Stellar Lifestyle enhances commuter experience at the heart of transit stations. The visit highlighted our commitment to resilient transit solutions that keep Singapore moving. STRIDES and SMRT Corporation Ltd were delighted to welcome Valérie Pécresse, President of the Regional Council of Région Ile de France to Kim Chuan Depot. During her visit, along with an esteemed delegation of representatives from Regional Council of Île-de-France, SMRT showcased innovative solutions developed from smart technologies to optimise reliability and enhance passenger experience. These include iSAFE for incident reporting, Track Access Management System for automated track access prioritisation and monitoring, and the emphasis on managing crowd flow during peak periods resonated deeply with our visitors whose home country hosted the recent Paris Olympics.    The group also toured the Operations Control Centre (OCC), where they saw first-hand how real-time monitoring and management of the transport network is conducted at SMRT. The visit included a demo of Overwatch, a comprehensive situational awareness and intelligent command and control decision support solution that streamlines operations, optimise resource allocation, and enhance safety measures in real-time. Another highlight was tour and brief of SMRT’s Maintenance Engineering Centre where the Team demonstrated maintenance strategies and how SMRT harnesses data to implement a robust predictive maintenance regime to elevate reliability and service delivery for our commuters.   Our visitors also shared valuable insights from the success of the Paris 2024 transport strategy, particularly on managing crowd flows during large events. Following the visit to Kim Chuan Depot, the delegation was hosted by Stellar Lifestyle at Paya Lebar MRT Station to explore SMRT’s on-ground protocols during service disruptions and see Staytion, our hybrid working concept in action at stations across Singapore. This collaboration exemplifies how we are constantly adapting and evolving to meet both operational and passenger needs.   Thank you, Ms Pécresse and Team for visiting.
