In the grand scheme of things, everyone matters. Everyone. Humans, Avians, Flora and Fauna. We all have a specific role that we play in maintaining the ecology. This World Environmental Health Day lets take a pledge to respect and protect our fellow beings and life forms. #day134of365daysofadvertising #WEHD #September26 #Ecology #VasudaivaKutumbakam #StoriesByNomads #SBN

A wonderful picture of the four-spot chaser dragonfly (Libellula quadrimaculata) taken by our ecologist Claire Smith while undertaking ecology surveys in Northeast Scotland. These adaptable dragonflies can be found in a variety of freshwater habitats such as ponds, lakes, canals, and slow-moving streams. These remarkable insects play a vital role in the balance of our eco-system, helping to key populations of midges and other flying insects in check. While they themselves are an important food source for birds, fish and other insectivores. All of which keeps the food chain functioning smoothly. #SustainableDevelopment #ecologyife #biodiversity

🌱 This is California Native Plant Week, hosted by California Native Plant Society! Great Ecology regularly uses native plants in our ecological designs and restoration and mitigation projects. 🌳 There are a huge number of reasons to plant native plants, at home, in projects, or wherever you require new flora. Native plants help to conserve water, protect soil from erosion, create habitats and provide food for birds, pollinators, and small animals. 🦆 Interested in learning more about the importance of native plants and the California Native Plant Society?
