What does the path to the city of the future look like? 🏙️ Our managing director Christian von den Brincken was a guest at the Podcast of the IMPACT FESTIVAL and discussed how smart cities can improve the lives of their inhabitants. Of course, we don't want to withhold the most important results of the interview from you: 🧑🏼🤝🧑🏼Smart city is all about citizens A smart city is not simply a technologically upgraded city, but one that aims to improve the everyday lives of its inhabitants. The key to a smart city lies in how well it meets the needs of its residents and how seamlessly it links digital and physical everyday life. 👩🏼💻Technology as a supporting tool Technology alone does not make a city smart. The focus should be on the meaningful integration of technologies to solve real problems and make cities more resilient and sustainable. Digital solutions such as decentralized data storage or networked infrastructures serve as a means of improving administration, transport and communication. 🤝Participation and trust as success factors A smart city can only be successful if citizens are actively involved. Transparent communication and opportunities for participation are crucial to building trust. People need to feel that their needs and opinions are taken into account in order to accept the smart city concept and play an active role in shaping it. Got curious?
