Notably, 50% of buyers were South African. In March, we launched our first selling exhibition in London at Cromwell Place, titled 'Alexis Preller: Surreal Discovery'. The show featured 11 works for sale and 11 on loan, attracting strong media attention and significant sales. In October, during Frieze Week, we presented 'Looking Towards Freedom: Womxn Artists from Africa' in London, showcasing modern and contemporary African women artists. This exhibition, alongside our earlier one, highlighted the importance of strategic market presence. Additionally, Strauss & Co produced guides for collectors in London and Venice, supporting the 2024 African Art in Venice Forum and Frieze Week, which were well received and sponsored by Stonehage Fleming. #StraussAndCo #2024withStraussAndCo
