This year’s Accountancy Age rankings highlight an exciting shift in the profession—clients, talent, and the wider industry are 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲. And fair play to those firms leaning into values like 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁—because it’s working. Some of my clients (you know who you are 😉) have embraced this ethos wholeheartedly, and seeing their names rise through the rankings is such a proud moment. It’s proof that 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 can drive exceptional results on the bottom line too. This trend is a win for everyone—whether you’re a client, an employee, or a leader.
