Just as physical health is crucial to your overall well-being, so is mental health. When you’re in a good mood, you’re most likely to exercise and eat right. But when you’re feeling down or anxious, it’s easy to let stress and low self-esteem take over. Instead of resorting to unhealthy habits of overeating, drinking, or smoking, you can work on exercising your mind instead. Exercise isn’t just good for the body – it can also benefit the brain. These are some of the exercises you can practice daily to overcome stress. #SudamShelar #exercise #physicalexercise #mentalhealth #workout #eatinghabits #stress #yoga #running #hiit #meditation #swimming #mentalhealthexercise #brain #exercisedaily #goodmood #mentalhealthawareness #mindsetmaters #healthyheart #mentalhealthsupport #yougotthis #motivation #discipline #dailyexercise #superfood

In the spirit of improving our mental health, today’s post is about exercise. Some of you may already have a regular exercise routine. Great! Keep it up! Others may loathe the idea of exercise. Who wants to run on a treadmill that takes you nowhere? It’s so boring, you may be thinking. The good news about exercise is that it comes in so many forms. Think gardening, walking, mowing your lawn, yoga, swimming, biking, and the list goes on and on. Exercise to improve your mental health is all about moving your body. When you exercise hard enough, your body releases endorphins, which make you feel good. Even if you don’t exercise that strenuously, exercise still positively impacts your mental health by shifting your focus for the time being. I find when I’m exercising, that I set aside my worries because I’m focused on the activity of moving my body in some way. Admittedly, there are times you may not feel like exercising. I can relate! For me, that was tonight. After a long day with unexpected frustrations, all I wanted to do was sit around and read a book after dinner. But I made myself head outside for a short trail run. I’m so glad I did! I finished feeling refreshed and less frustrated, ready to relax for the rest of the evening. So exercise even when you don’t feel like it. Your body and your mind wil thank you! #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #exercise
