A successful delivery! 🦾💙 Our Eggersmann partner Agrex-Eco Sp. z o.o. has recently delivered a white BACKHUS A 50 to a composting facility in Bydgoszcz, operated by Remondis Polska . Located in northern Poland, the facility recently reopened after a complete overhaul. Spanning over 12,000 square meters, it processes both municipal waste and green waste from local residents. The green waste is then transformed into REVITA — a certified, high-quality soil enhancer. Deposit Container Bring Points by Zeos (SI) 🔍 Discover Deposit Container Bring Points: asmall WEEE collection initiative implementing street collection containers across Slovenia. Working closely with municipalities, public service providers and local utility companies, ZEOS, d.o.o. has identified optimal locations to enhance the proper disposal of e-waste. 📌 With easily recognisable and accessible containers, ZEOS has been optimising the collection of e-waste. The MOGO-UK team is taking steps to be more sustainable within our office, including switching to Electric vehicles where possible, using energy-saving lighting, and installing solar panels.

If we want communities to be genuinely empowered 💪 to progress a more ♻ circular, low carbon economy, it is really important that waste management services are demystified and understood by local people. Last night I hosted a talk on behalf of Dunoon Community Development Trust as part of our Second Hand September programme. Nick Grove-White from Renewi, the company managing the local amenities site and delivering waste and recycling services on behalf of Argyll and Bute Council, provided a presentation. Fascinating insights into the levels of recycling being achieved, where materials go, how waste is handled and where the policy regarding reuse could take us. Some really clear opportunities to increase reuse and recycling rates whilst building wealth in communities. However, as we sat in a room, drinking water from hard-to-recycle cups (the only ones offered by liveArgyll 🙄), discussing local challenges - it became clear there is a real need for greater leadership within Argyll and the town to create the cultural shift needed to achieve a circular Dunoon. Community based organisations can only do so much.
