It's been a few weeks since I've on on Linked In. I've been traveling with Elizabeth Jeffries, CSP, CPAE, and our two middle grandsons, Vincent and Lucas in Rome and Florence, Italy. It was amazing watching these two boys experience the wonder of these ancient cities. It was also fascinating watching how quickly they mastered using GPS on their phones to navigate. We decided where we wanted to go, how we would get there, and when we expected to arrive and return. We let them lead the way, and really enjoyed following them to our destinations. How are you at using GPS to find your way? As leaders in Home Care businesses, we need to use GPS regularly to navigate the complex world of caring for older adults. GPS - Goal, Plan, Schedule. Do you have goals for growing your business? A plan to get there? A schedule on when you will arrive? In our Home Care CEO Executive Strategy Retreat, we start even bigger, with a five-year vision, a three-year picture, and one year goals. Then we work with leaders to develop an action plan, a time table, and metrics to measure progress. How are you using GPS to take your Home Care business into the future?

Get out! - Valentini & Valentini [2024] FedCFamC1F 602 (11 September 2024) 📄The facts * 38 year rel, no kids under 18 * Net pool: at least $200m 💰 * During COVID 😷, W found herself stuck in alternate accommodation (mouldy and without heating) * Orders made for the parties to share the FMH (H to live downstairs, W to live upstairs) * W: aged 58, health issues. She brings an App for exclusive occupation of the FMH * H: aged 70, opposed 📑 The submissions * W: We can’t communicate, I need my treatment providers nearby and he keeps coming into my space! * H: Her health isn’t that bad, the house is big enough for both of us and I’m so busy with work I don’t have time to find another place! 🔍 The evidence * The doctor 👩⚕️: W’s symptoms improve when in the home because she is closer to her doctors and support circle 👨⚖️ The Court found * Things don’t need to be “intolerable” or “impossible” * Court needs to be satisfied that “it would not be reasonable or sensible or practicable” for parties to continue living together * Need to consider; means and needs, availability and suitability of alternate accommodation, welfare of any kids and whether hardship will be caused to the party who gets the boot 🥾 * Despite Orders made for these people to share a place, they've proven they can’t 🤷♀️ * H is in the home less than the W * On the issue of the H being time poor: H’s evidence identifies alternate homes for the W, no doubt they are suitable for him too 😏 and he can afford to move 💵 * W’s treatment and health should not be compromised 👩⚖️ The outcome * H ordered to get out within 10 days 😲 with 30 days to remove his stuff! 💡 Food for thought How much did the parties each spend fighting to stay there? Probably enough to cover the bond and a years’ rent! 😐 #familylaw #familylawyer #exclusiveoccupancy

The month of August is the 8th month in the year representing a new beginning and regeneration. (It may qualify as one of my favorites). Take a moment to think about your expectations... [Breathe]... Now, make sure you are prepared to receive. Type "READY!" in the comments if indeed you are! #August #simplykashonna #training #professionaldevelopment #personaldevelopment
