ICN President Pamela Cipriano on #Afghan women being banned from #nursing and #midwifery training: “The right of people to timely and accessible #healthcare is dependent on there being sufficient #nurses and #midwives. If women can no longer train as nurses and midwives, it will have a serious and debilitating effect on #Afghanistan’s #healthservices.” https://bit.ly/3Bg0zS0

💉 Australia Has Over 450,000 Nurses & Midwives – But Rural Communities Still Need You! 📊 With 450,000+ dedicated nurses and midwives across Australia, there’s no shortage of incredible talent in our healthcare system. However, less than 25% work in rural and remote areas, leaving gaps in communities that rely on them most. Agency nurses and midwives are indispensable in filling these roles, especially during critical times like the Christmas season, ensuring that all Australians, regardless of location, have access to care. Rural placements aren’t just jobs; they’re lifelines. Consider an agency role and make a real impact where it’s needed! 🌏💙 📧 chelsea.scott@cmr.com.au 📞 0483 981 792 #Nursing #Midwifery #AgencyLife #RuralAustralia Sources: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) National Rural Health Alliance on Rural Healthcare
