I have been going through a Life Sciences & Health Care course to understand some basic things, when I realised that it is a recording of a seminar that was recorded long back. A part of the presentation showed how the Health Care spending is projected at $8.7 trillion by the year 2020. And we all know what happened in 2020. Fun fact, the seminar happened in the 2019. Oh my my! Only if they knew what waited ahead for them. Is seeking a second opinion from a health provider okay? I have encountered a lot of patients who report that they are grateful to have gotten a second, third or even fourth opinion from different healthcare providers. Second opinions can be a valuable resource, especially for patients who have complex or serious medical conditions. Doctors may have different skills, areas of expertise, experience and perspectives, which can contribute to a more comprehensive assessment of a patient's condition. Therefore a second opinion can help a patient gain clarity about their diagnosis and treatment options. As a patient, if you feel uncertain about your diagnosis or treatment recommendations, seeking a second opinion can be empowering and reassuring. Your health is your wealth, therefore it is okay to seek the best possible care for yourself. #health #wellness #personalhealth #medicalcheckup
