The Shoddies 🏆 : Keeping Brands on Their Toes Okay, confession time — I've been a subscriber to Which? magazine for several years now. I always look forward to my monthly magazine browse, as I love spotting the next kitchen gadget or life-enhancing product. However, over the last year or so, I have to admit, it's become a little bland, beige, and familiar. Perhaps the innovation funnel is running a little dry with the pandemic's long tail. 🧐 That is until this month's edition arrived with a thud. The front cover is emblazoned with The Shoddies, their annual survey of terrible customer service and useless products. They name and shame the standout letdowns of the year. WOW—BOFF! THWACK! KPOW! 🥊 🥊 🥊 It's like a scene from the original Batman series. (showing my age here a little😉) "The most shocking price hike," "Biggest flight booking letdown," "Grimmest hotel," and "Dumbest smart product,". 13 different categories spotlighted. 🥇🥈🥉 Unlucky for some! You can imagine monthly boardroom agendas being rewritten as we speak! This properly demonstrates the importance of two things yet again: brand and customer experience (CX)!
