These three #entrepreneurship trends are changing the landscape for the future of 2025 and beyond: ➡️ Young adults, particularly those ages 18 to 24, show the highest entrepreneurial activity and are leading the charge toward sustainability-focused businesses. ➡️ The gender gap in technology entrepreneurship is closing, with women starting tech businesses at nearly the same rate as men. ➡️ Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs exhibit a more optimistic outlook and confidence in starting businesses compared to other demographics. As an entrepreneur myself, I’m always fascinated by data about how the #workforce continues to grow and evolve. https://lnkd.in/eAby7wmb

Our latest Start-up of the Week DevA11y wants to make building accessible products easy for businesses so that the digital world can be opened up to everyone, regardless of their disabilities. “We’re living in an age where digital products are unusable by an enormous demographic,” said Patrick Guiney-Fox, who is chief operating officer of the start-up dually based in Dublin and San Francisco. “We can boil this down to two issues: businesses aren’t prioritising inclusive design and that building accessible products is incredibly difficult.” Click the link below to read more. #StartUpOfTheWeek #StartUps #Accessibility #AI #Entrepreneurs #RiskAndCompliance https://ow.ly/rOzm50SRVQi

Gen Z: more money, more house, less work. They are less likely to be entrepreneurs and produce fewer innovations than previous cohorts And, in 2008 42% of hits were sung by millennials; 15 years later only 29% were sung by Gen Zers. The Economist asks “Who can name a famous Gen Z startup founder?” #genz #innovation #founders #entrepreneurship Generation Z is unprecedentedly rich https://lnkd.in/dpKBvNsm from The Economist

Societal change always creates white space – latent human needs just begging to be met. Over the past 30 years societies across the globe have experienced more change than during any point in human history. And given AI and other emerging technologies, it is safe to say we are only getting started. What feels like chaos for many is the sandbox where entrepreneurs play best. Among Gen Z, today’s 17-27-years-olds, we have a limitless number of natural entrepreneurs – problems solvers with a knack for getting things done and creating new revenue streams. An absolute pleasure working with Lee Henderson to develop our POV published today in Fortune: https://lnkd.in/eQQNucpX

Every CHILD is born with WINGS → the way we nurture decides their FLIGHT. 🧸⚽ Did you know that the toys and hobbies we choose for our children can shape their futures? It's called the Dream Gap, and it's more prevalent than you might think. 💡 Imagine this → you walk into a store to buy a gift for a child. The shopkeeper, almost instinctively, asks, "Is it for a boy or a girl?" Next thing you know, you're looking at dolls for her, and bats and balls for him. Sounds familiar, right? This seemingly simple choice is where the Dream Gap begins. 🔆 While it's true that times are changing and many are challenging these norms, these ingrained habits often go unnoticed. 👉 Every doll and every bat carries an unspoken message about what society expects from our children as they grow. These expectations subtly steer girls away from sports and sciences and nudge boys away from arts and empathy, potentially altering their self-perception and aspirations. 🤗 To all the young women and entrepreneurs out there—whether you are just starting out in MSMEs, or you are paving your way in startups or Fortune 500 companies—IndusTreeBiz stands with you. We believe in your potential to bridge the Dream Gap. We're here not only to celebrate your achievements but also to offer our guidance and support as you soar towards your dreams. 📩 DM us today to discover the services we offer that can catapult your entrepreneurial journey. Came across this video which beautifully expresses what the Dream Gap is all about. video source - social media #dreamgap #genderequality #entrepreneurship #womenempowerment #IndusTreeBiz #womenentrepreneur #msmes #brands #fortune500 #shwetaraka

A new report sheds light on the challenges faced by women in the European VC industry, particularly the difficulties of balancing work with maternity and childcare. While work styles differ from those in Japan, the struggles remain strikingly similar. The statement, “Two-month vacations aren’t a solution,” captures the essence of the issue and resonates strongly. The report also highlights, “Many women feel that the industry’s demands are incompatible with starting or raising a family,” emphasizing the need for systemic change. As we continue conversations around work-life balance and diversity in venture capital, this report offers valuable insights. It was a pleasure catching up with Sabrina, Managing Director of EnAccess Maps to talk all things inclusion for disabled and chronically sick people, business building with this lens, how to harness lived experience and the realities of startup building as women. I got to share more of my journey in Corethentic, The Manning Institute , and what I learned in Silicon Valley. I got to learn even more of Sabrina’s experiences collaborating with councils and universities on her business too. I always appreciate the warmth, openness and authenticity that is shared in these exchanges. I receive as much as I give, and come away grateful. This is why connection and genuine communication is at the root of so much business success. By being open and sharing our unique insights as well as the not so nice experiences that can come with it, with real care at the back bone, we position each other to thrive. I think there is a tendency in startups to only want to share the highlight reels. But the power we have as business builders comes from our ability to sit in the discomfort of growth and vulnerability and to share it with others. So if you’re a budding entrepreneur, surround yourself with people who can talk openly, and openly listen. We grow better, when we grow together. Thank you Sabrina for such a wonderful and open conversation. As always, I’m inspired by you 🙌🏻 #startup #founder #disability #inclusion #accessibility #networking #community #femalefounders #business #accelerators
