The fundraising campaign is complete and our CEO, Jennifer Perry, raised £105 for her local school to support their campaign to gift a Christmas present to the children who would otherwise go without on Christmas Day. Well done Jen! We're so pleased for the children and want to congratulate the school for such a good initiative that they run. Today is world suicide prevention day. There is an estimated 700,000 suicides per year worldwide. The impact the loss of one life has is profound, the impact of 700,000 is incomprehensible. We can make an impact #StartTheConversation #StopSuicide
Please consider donating to support the AFSP in raising awareness around suicide to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. If you're local to the capital region, join us in walking on 9/22 at Saratoga State Park!

Helping vulnerable people and their families suffering severe hardship - often through no fault of their own - is a core focus of the Randal Charitable Foundation. Our support for charities and good causes in this space has taken many forms, from helping homeless people get back on their feet, to supporting those left penniless and struggling to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic. This past week was Debt Awareness Week, which aimed to increase awareness of problem debt, and the advice and solutions available to help. This includes exploring some of the barriers to seeking help, and discussing ways of overcoming them. #SavingLives #RandalFoundation #debtawarenessweek #debt #bankrupcy #homelessness #homeless #financialconcerns #financialworries #moneymanagement #costoflivingcrisis #inflation #inflationcrisis #grants #charitywork #charitysupport #charityfundraising #charitysupport #grantgiving #grantfunding #fundraising #charitypartner #funding #nonprofit #community #philanthropy #charity #givingback #donate #childrenshealth #support #charitablegiving #charitabletrust #charitablefoundation #donations #healthcareforall #educationforall Rachael McCormack Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL

Charity—whether through money, food, clothing, or toys—is a vital practice that we should make a regular part of our lives. In Islam, even a simple smile is considered an act of charity. It’s inspiring to see people dedicate their time and effort to something spiritually enriching while supporting those in need. Here are some key takeaways about charity and its significance in Islam. Charity helps alleviate poverty, reduce inequality, and strengthen bonds within the community, fostering a sense of mutual care and responsibility. Islam emphasizes that acts of charity, big or small, are significant in the eyes of Allah, as I said above even a smile can count as charity. In fact , Zakat(charity) is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, requiring Muslims to give a fixed percentage (usually 2.5%) of their wealth annually to help the needy, support social welfare, and promote economic balance. Charity is considered a way to purify one’s wealth and soul, reduce greed, and earn Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. The Qur’an and Hadith frequently promise immense rewards for those who give generously. Ultimately, charity benefits both the giver and the receiver, serving as a powerful means to foster a more just, fair, and compassionate society.
With Christmas fast approaching, I felt inspired to give back to the community in a meaningful way. I therefore personally took the lead in organising Christmas pamper boxes for women and children in refuge at Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP). This involved planning, coordinating donations, and working closely with Deborah from PDAP to ensure we could make a real impact for their clients in need. Our Family Department already work very closely with PDAP who are a key provider of domestic abuse services in Kirklees so it was incredibly rewarding to hear how much this will mean to the families at the refuge. Also, many thanks to the two offices that donated, we successfully gathered enough donations to fill four boxes!

There are currently nearly 9,000 youths in Tennessee foster care—yet there are only homes for a little more than half of them. Within the first 12 months of being in this program, 30% of those youths are moved through three or more homes. Without our help, the trauma of this unstable environment has been shown to have a negative impact on these youths for the rest of their lives. If you don’t know how to help but feel like this is your calling, some wonderful options to get involved are: 1. Join a volunteer committee 2. Become a corporate sponsor 3. Make recurring monthly donations 4. Become a Friend of Jonathan’s Path 5. Host a fundraiser event (even at a distance!) Thanksgiving is almost upon us! But while most people are aware of or recognize Thanksgiving, many people aren’t as aware of #GivingTuesday, which falls on the Tuesday just after Thanksgiving. Taking place on December 3rd this year, #GivingTuesday is a global movement that spreads awareness of ways to donate and support the mission and services of different organizations and nonprofits that serve their communities. If this interests you, then consider donating to Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI)! BCRI is a 24/7/365 crisis services organization that provides treatment and support to Marylanders impacted by mental health, substance use, or homelessness challenges. If you are interested in giving to BCRI’s cause for #GivingTuesday, visit our website at https://lnkd.in/e_YJwny5. Every bit goes right to their programs that help individuals every day, and any amount – no matter how big or small – goes towards making a difference! #bcri #GivingTuesday #community #charity #donate

At Adonis Partners, we believe that success is measured not only by what we achieve in the workplace but also by how we give back to people and their communities. This video highlights our efforts in transforming a local school in Los Palos, Dominican Republic by building safe infrastructure and creating spaces where children can learn and play. At our core, we are driven by a purpose: to share, serve, and create value for others. That’s why we donate over 20% of our profits annually to charities and community service organizations. We know that even the smallest action can spark meaningful change. Altogether, giving back is not just a responsibility—it’s a principle we live by—and the work we do in communities like Los Palos reflects our belief that when we come together, we can truly make an impact. #CommunityFirst #GivingBack #CorporateResponsibility
