Our week continues tomorrow at the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) Stakeholder Forum 2023. Probably a place where the Fibenol story via the SWEETWOODS project does not need a long introduction. 🎤 With #CBE support, the idea we had on paper in 2016 is now an operational #biorefinery. 🥇 In a way, there is a #success story to share, but on the other hand, we feel we need to delve more deeply into the #challenges and obstacles to be faced after coming through the #technology valley of death - securing #financing for innovative biorefineries roll out at industrial scale is something that often receives way less attention. 💡 From technology demonstration at scale to reaching product-market fit is a long #journey, and there are still some deep "valleys" waiting ahead to make the changes from fossil to #biobased solutions. This is something we would like to share and #discuss more deeply so that future projects like ours could follow suit.
