So happy to view this as this is something we #civilsociety groups worked closely with Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP to ensure it receives urgent attention, especially from the perspective of #intergenerational #equity. Something Executive Director of #unep Inger Andersen highlighted boldly. Thank you Zuhair Ahmed Kowshik, Kartik Verma for supporting Save the Children International and other #csos working on #childrensrights, #climatejustice to participate in #GYEA2024 held at the margins of #unea6. It was, for many, a major milestone as it was the first time children below 18 years (in fact, lot younger) actively participated, including as distinguished speakers, in the session on: children’s rights to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment. Believe decision-makers and policy-influencers have - at last - begun to notice that if we don’t do anything for not only #youth but #children (below 18 years) as well, we won’t have another generation which will walk our planet.
