I regret leaving freelance at times :( As mentioned in my previous post yesterday, I did freelance in my college days. But what I didn’t mention was- I left it as soon as I started my job and now it feels weird when I look back and think- I could have multiplied those figures by 5/6 times at least if I hadn’t given up on that. It was a side hustle which eventually transformed into a business and I could have made it better and bigger. I left it because I felt that a real time work experience would be better in my resume then freelance because the corporate/business world doesn’t really count freelance as work-ex(they want a full time 9-5 job), Just being Honest. Freelance should also be counted as work experience. I believe, it gives you even a better idea of the business world when you’re out there alone, directionless and just working towards something unlink a job where you’re trained and given set patters of how a thing has to be done. You can’t get hired because you have no experience. You have no experience because you can’t get hired. Let’s change that. Reach out to your cousin, aunt or that friend trying to launch their music career and offer to build a website. For free. Make them buy a domain. Or buy one for them - f*ck it. Sketch out the site and main features and review them with your cousin, I mean client. Build and deploy. Have them give you a testimonial. Now you have some viable experience, a real deal site to show off and have dipped your toe into freelance.

I am interested only in permanent employments. Freelance jobs are not worth my time, freelance jobs are not worth my effort, and they have no value for me at all. I do  not understand, why i still receive unsolicited calls for freelance jobs, after explicitly stated i am not interested in such, and i will decline and reject all and any freelance jobs. Stop disturbing me about freelance jobs. I will continue to reject and decline all and any freelance jobs. I am interested only in permanent employments.

You know what really isn't helpful to freelancers? People in full-time employment, telling them how hard things are at the moment. If you really want to help people who are self-employed just make sure you're engaging with any post that asks for freelance support. At least then there's a higher chance your network will see it and people might actually find some work. #freelancer #selfemployed #newbusiness
