Slurry photocatalytic water treatment systems often require costly and energy-intensive recovery processes. By using physical vapor deposition (#PVD), we accurately controlled the thickness and band edge ratio of thin-film #heterostructures. The developed thin-film #photocatalyst enables efficient detoxification of antibiotic solutions without the need for any post-treatment processes. A small update from our #FlashPhos and #Phoster workshop in Milano - great presentations so far, now the first "round" table. (It is not true that we deliberately chose the linear instead of the circular form to protest against the remainingly linear economy in the EU, but it's a nice thought.) It's most probably the first time that people from #chemicalindustry, #cementindustry, #batteryindustry, #fertiliserindustry, #sewagetreatment, #mechanicalengineering, #chemicalengineering, #environmentalengineering, #publicauthorities and #academia in one (virtual) room. The potential of new insights and exchange is extremely high, and the discussions show thatparallels between these fields are sometimes unexpectedly strong.
