Take Stock Brevard alum and mentor Alycia Corpiel's time spent with her mentor Esther Sherman is something special to remember. After Esther's passing in April 2024, Alycia took a moment to honor the late mentor's ripple effect on the program grad's life. "Thank you, Esther. I hope you know how much you really did for me when I needed it most. Inspired by Esther, I have mentored three very smart girls with bright futures ahead of them." Last year, many of the students entered our mentorship program feeling uncertain about their future. Some were afraid that a certain age they would not have sponsors as most of them are under compassion support. Today, these young girls are thriving—armed with skills and a renewed sense of purpose. Stories like these are why we do what we do. We’re still looking for partners and sponsors to keep these stories going. Can you join us create more success stories together? 🙏 #SuccessStories #MentorshipMatters #CommunityImpact #FutureLeaders #PartnerWithUs

As a parent, you are the number one mentor of your children. How you do it will determine whether they will become better or different. Your actions form the most critical part of your mentorship. Children pick & learn from your actions effortlessly. From a tender age, they observe how you talk & do things as a parent. How you treat people, how you communicate, how you keep or not keep promises, your faith, your confidence, how you do your job, business, career, how you handle money, your character, and grooming. They pick this from you. They will like it or not depending on what they see in you. If you are inspiring, you will raise inspired children, if you are beaten & downtrodden, expect a replica from your children unless extraordinary happens. Your mentorship will determine the longevity & posterity of your legacy. What kind of a mentor are you to your children? #MorningBoost by FrankBigos Have a Superb Saturday

Hey, Positive Disruptors! I'm excited to share that I've recently become a mentor to 5 incredible Big Shoulders Gallagher Scholars, all bright and ambitious 6th graders. This new journey is especially close to my heart as my daughter is also in 6th grade, making it even easier to relate and connect with these young minds. Each month, I'll meet with the students to discuss their challenges, set goals, celebrate their successes, and engage in fun and meaningful activities. Being a mentor is an opportunity to guide, inspire, and support them during such an important phase in their lives. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, Big Shoulders has a rigorous process to ensure the best experience for the children, which I truly appreciate. Here's what it entails: Volunteer Process: ✅Initial meeting with Big Shoulders Fund staff ✅Complete an online background check and Virtus Training ✅Sign a code of conduct ✅Student pairing assessment ✅Attend the first meeting with the school principal, student(s), and Big Shoulders Fund staff. The impact you can have on a student's life and your community is truly immeasurable. Mentorship is such a fulfilling and exciting experience, and I encourage anyone interested in making a difference in a child's life to explore this opportunity. "The best way to predict the future is to create it." — Peter Drucker I wish you Blessings, Peace, Light, Love, and Success 💕! At 5, I dreamed of being a princess. At 10, I wanted to be a doctor. By 15, I had countless dreams, each one as big as the next. These childhood ambitions inspired the name of my Social Media Agency — 15 Big Dreams — a nod to the limitless possibilities of being 15 and full of aspirations. Last week, I watched my 4-year-old during his Kidzania trip, and it made me reflect on dreams again. In just 4 hours, he could be anything — a firefighter one minute, a dentist the next, then a DJ or even a banker by lunchtime. We encouraged him to try it all, teaching him about work, money, and even the importance of taking a break for lunch to recharge. In that moment, I realized how much of a role we were playing as mentors, guiding him through life’s little lessons. It struck me that I didn’t have this kind of mentorship growing up. Someone to encourage me, push me, let me fall and then teach me how to get back up. Someone to share my frustrations with, whether it was about walking too far or not having enough money for something simple like an eraser. Now, I’m committed to being that mentor for my children. But to do that, I first have to allow myself to be mentored, to seek help, embrace change, and accept challenges — all so I can become the best guide they could ever have. Because as mentors, we’re passing down not just knowledge and skills, but invaluable, intangible lessons that only a mentee can truly feel and appreciate. Here’s to all the mentors out there—keep doing what you do best!
