What gets you up in the morning?? As a leader in early years education, my role is not just about guiding young children, it is about inspiring my team to bring their best every day. This is not just a job for me; it is my passion!! Every day, I am motivated by the potential I see in every child. There is something so special about watching them explore, ask questions, and find joy in learning new things. That is why I lead with both passion and purpose. But it is not just passion that makes the magic happen, it is teamwork.💥 I believe in creating an environment where every educator feels supported, inspired, and ready to help children thrive. Together with our Centre Director Zelda Higgins we are leading the way and building a space where children are free to explore and grow. This is how we ensure every child flourishes. Learning is not just about teaching facts; it is about helping children develop a lifelong love of learning. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, and as leaders, Zelda and I are here to guide our team through them with care and purpose. Curiosity drives all of us, not just the children. It is what keeps us motivated to explore new ideas and improve our work. This is how we are shaping not just young minds but the future itself, a future that is more curious, compassionate, and full of possibility. I am so proud to lead this team alongside Zelda. When we work together, that is when the magic really happens.✨ We are creating something truly special for the children at The Blossom Nursery Family, and I am honored to be leading the way with her. America's middle schools are in a self-esteem emergency. Imagine the profound impact if every student could start each day believing in their potential. Picture an eighth grader, let's call him Sam. Sam struggles to fit in, doubts his abilities and often feels invisible. Now picture Sam after a self-esteem development class, standing taller, answering questions in class confidently, and shining in his own unique way. This isn't just about Sam—it's about thousands of 'Sams' across the nation. The change must come from us. Let's champion intensive self-esteem development programs in our middle schools, fostering belief and confidence in our nation's young minds. Are you ready to be part of this transformative journey? Let's elevate our children, one self-esteem boost at a time.

🌟 Supporting Your Child’s Transition to a New School 🌟 With the new school year just round the corner for us here in New Zealand, I thought I'd jump on here to talk about the big T word - TRANSTIONS! Starting a new school is a big milestone, and it’s natural for both parents and children to feel a mix of emotions. Here are some simple ways you can help your child navigate this exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) change: 🎨 Create a Vision Board: Sit down together and map out all the fun things they have to look forward to. From new friends to exciting classes, focusing on the positives can help ease any worries. 🎯 Set Goals and Hopes: Talk about what they want to achieve at their new school. Having clear goals—like joining a club or trying a new subject—gives them something to aim for and feel excited about. 🤝 Advocate for Their Needs: If your child has additional learning needs, reach out to their new school ahead of time. Open communication helps ensure they get the right support from day one. You’re their best advocate! Transitions can be tricky, but with your encouragement and preparation, your child can step into this next chapter with confidence. 💪 What’s one thing you’re doing to support your child during a big transition? Share in the comments—I’d love to hear your tips! 💬✨ #schooltransitions #parentingtips #backtoschool #supportingneurodiversekids #secondaryschool

For all my friends who are parents or planning to become one: Having spent the last 16 years immersed in education, studying child development, and meeting thousands of students, one truth stands out above all else: success isn’t built solely on knowledge—it’s built on belief. Every child needs someone who truly believes in them, someone who will stand by their side, help them overcome obstacles, and cheer for their victories. Knowledge alone doesn’t inspire; it’s the human connection, the care, and the faith we show that drive children to grow and thrive. Children learn best from people they trust and admire. When we, as parents, teachers, or mentors, show unwavering belief in their potential, we ignite a spark that pushes them to surpass even their own expectations. Teaching is not just about facts and figures—it’s about inspiring confidence, nurturing resilience, and fostering a love for learning. The future of our children—and of our society—is shaped by the support we offer today. Stand beside them, encourage them, believe in their limitless potential. #BelieveInEducation #InspireGrowth #EmpowerTheFuturet

Is the #Children's Day celebration only for the kids? As 14th November, 2024 i.e. Children's Day comes to an end, one question arises in my mind. Is this day only to be celebrated by #Children? If so, what makes them so special? The answer is very simple. Their pure raw #energy, their #curiosity, the lens with which they #observe the world around them, the way they #comprehend and #understand the things around them, build their own #hypothesis, #experiment, #make mistakes with any guilty conscience, #learn, #unlearn, and #relearn, is what makes children so special. But, are these qualities that make children so special supposed to just vanish as they grow up. Are they supposed to become such #practical decision makers, that they lose some of these special qualities? According to me, the answer is #NO. Never lose these qualities that make us all so special when we were kids ourselves. Lets keep celebrating the #spirit of childhood today, tomorrow, and always. To the #inner child within everyone, a very #HappyChildrenDay.
