Today marks #WorldContraceptionDay2024, a day dedicated to highlighting the power of informed decision-making in sexual health and the fight against unintended pregnancies. This year's theme, 'Empowering Choices, One Decision at a Time,' shines a light on the profound impact that access to family planning and contraception can have on individuals and communities worldwide. In a world where the right to make choices about one's sexual health is not universal, it's more important than ever to advocate for and support the empowerment of all individuals, especially young people, to make informed decisions about their reproductive futures. Let's use our voices on social media to celebrate the right to choose and the importance of accessible contraception in enabling those choices. Join us in spreading the word and supporting a future where every person has the autonomy to decide if, when, and with whom they want to have children. World Contraception Day 2024... ...focuses on the role of informed decision-making in overcoming barriers to reducing unintended pregnancies, in a world where many women still have no choice about their sexual health. At Bayer, we believe that every young person has the right to choose when, if and with whom they want children. That’s why we support this years’ theme ‘Empowering choices, One Decision at a Time’ as it emphasizes the impact that the ability to self-determined family planning and contraception has on the lives of individuals, communities and society at large. #WCD2024 #WorldContraceptionDay

Youth talking to youth about safe sex isn't just cool—it's crucial. They're leading the charge and breaking the silence on contraception. Through the USAID funded PHB (Promoting Healthy Behaviors) project by PSI Cambodia we partnered with Dosslarb undefined, a collective of Cambodian youths, to break down barriers to sexual health education in Cambodia. By launching the "Just the Two of Us” digital campaign on facebook, we are empowering youth to lead peer conversations on contraception. Half of Phnom Penh's sexually active youth aren't using modern contraception, but they're not planning for parenthood either. Our initiative bridges this gap, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to shape their own futures. Watch our case study video to see the impact unfold—Cambodian youth gaining confidence through peer support and accessible information. September 26 is #WorldContraceptionDay, a reminder that 214 million women in developing countries still lack access to modern contraception, leading to unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions. Additionally, over 1 million new sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are acquired every day worldwide. The solution lies in comprehensive sex education, family planning, and increasing access to affordable contraceptives. Empowering women to make informed #choices and decisions about their #reproductivehealth is crucial. Follow us on social media to learn about ways you can support reproductive rights and health education for all women. Global Fund for Women She's the First Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
