Another engaging and insightful roundtable discussion at The Foundry this week, a quarterly get-together where industry leaders and entrepreneurs converged to share valuable perspectives and foster collaboration. Special thanks to the members of the Foundry team from Mercia Ventures, Ashfords LLP, Frog Capital, and Talisman Sparro. Wide ranging conversation & key themes included: - Develop a considered engagement strategy across a range of investors - they are not one size fits all - It’s a strategic partnership - do your due diligence on investors and challenge their “more than money” contribution - Understand VC fund dynamics -. some funds will be set for longer term return - Consider early engagement with investors - map and track investor decision criteria - Exit strategy considerations - it’s never too soon to plan and discuss your exit - Effective board dynamics are critical to success - if it's a sense of relief and not invigoration post-board you need to rethink Kudos to our awesome guests for your openness and invaluable contributions on the day; and huge support for your future endeavours. Looking forward to the next quarter. For the past year and a half, we've had the privilege of working with an incredible EOS consultant, Andrea Lopez-Schlapia. Last month, we celebrated her 100th EOS session, and we were truly honored to be the team she celebrated with. For those who don't know, EOS (The Entrepreneurial Operating System®) is a complete set of concepts and tools for getting the most out of an entrepreneurial business. The work we do year-round and in these hyper-focused quarterly sessions helps us work "on" the business, rather than just "in" the business. It's been an intense process, but I can say one thing with confidence: I've never felt more excited about or in tune with running this business than I do now. And we have EOS and very specifically, Andrea, to thank for much of that. Please note: Raymond James is not affiliated with The Entrepreneurial Operating System. #EOS #EntrepreneurialOperatingSystem #BusinessGrowth #Milestone #Grateful #TeamWork #BusinessFocus
