OISTAT (The International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians), are officially calling for proposals to host World Stage Design 2029 (WSD). OISTAT designates the WSD location four years in advance to provide sufficient time for planning and securing resources for the whole WSD project. The primary goal of World Stage Design is to present an exhibition of designers’ work that explores the breadth and diversity of international design practice. The Remote-Controlled Platform with standard wheels is a versatile and easy-to-use moving platform designed for entertainment, exhibitions, and trade fairs. It can be seamlessly integrated into various setups, making it suitable for many different scenarios. The platform is operated via a wireless controller, allowing movements to be controlled either by the performer or the crew backstage. Any object can be securely mounted to the platform within its load capacity. The platform comes in a standard size of 70x70 cm, but the motor console can be easily transferred to a custom-made platform with just 4 screws and some creativity. 🌟 One question I get a lot is: how do you choose your shows? 🌟 As with most projects, there's no one single way a theatre production is born. But for me, everything starts with the text. If the text excites me in some way, it goes onto my Dream List. It might not happen immediately, but it’s there, waiting for the right moment. But a great text alone isn't enough. We need the Golden Triangle: a stellar script, a director whose vision aligns perfectly with the piece, and a suitable venue. Without these three elements, a production simply can't happen. And, of course, there's always the financial puzzle - a fantastic play with a large cast might have to wait due to budget constraints. Smaller works with fewer actors are often less risky and easier to produce. So, I’m curious - what piece of drama would YOU like to see produced? Drop your suggestions below. The future is here😱the Sphere. A $2.3 billion music and entertainment arena built in Las Vegas, it was unveiled in July of this year. It is the largest spherical structure in the world, at 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide at its widest point. It seats 17,500 – and 10,000 of those seats are haptic, allowing guests to feel sound vibration. Plus, The Sphere’s 160,000 sq. ft. LED screen has the highest resolution in the world at 19,000×13,500 pixels.
